Little White Lies...

Hi Everyone!

We are doing a bit of research and we are hoping you can help us!

Fill us in -- what are some little white lies your parent friends have told you about having kids? (This could be something funny or very serious! But whatever it is, we would love to hear from you!)

Leave your white lie in the comments below!

  • Meh. Most parents I know are honest.  Kids are the best thing ever and they are simultaneously the biggest pain in the ass.  Seems accurate so far.

  • I still have not had a baby, but everyone always says "it doesnt hurt that much to have babies" (physically), but one of my best friends has told me "everyone is lying. it hurts like a bitch. im just being honest,"

Oh yeah.  Forgot about that one. For real. I begged them to kill me. I told them I had great life insurance and DH would be fine as a single dad.

  • Haha the water at my work is something I'm avoiding right now. Well one co-worker keeps it real. She tells me about the ripping and hemorrhoids. She definitely helps with the decision on not wanting children. She says the books lie and don't tell you the real side effects of child birthing. Still undecided ans I'm 31!
