Sobbing over Charlotte's Web
So DD 4 years old picked out Charlotte's Web to read a few weeks ago, we read about 2 chapters/day , well last night we made to chapter 21 ( Last Day), I have been dreading that chapter since she picked out the book, and I even tried to discourage her from reading it, but nope she insisted. It was awful.
She started crying when she heard Charlotte would not make it.
" Oh mommy that's awful, she'll never see her kids", we ugly cried for 30 minutes ;(, she took it a lot harder than I thought she would, I felt so bad for her.
Re: Sobbing over Charlotte's Web
Towards the end of last school year, a 4th grader asked/pleaded with me to read Charlotte's Web to his class. I didn't think we'd have enough time to finish before school ended, but then the teacher said we could share reading it. Her in the class and me during their weekly visits.
I cannot tell you how relieved I was that she read the end. I know I would have cried!
