Friday Randoms! Vents, Confessions, FFF anyone?

I can't think of anything else to post...any random thoughts, vents, FFF confessions?!?

Re: Friday Randoms! Vents, Confessions, FFF anyone?

  • Random: I forgot my cell phone at home today.  I'm starting to twitch from the lack of technology, but I admit it is nice to get some things done at work that I've been procrastinating about when not checking my phone or sneaking in a game of candy crush.

Vents: I vent about this all of the time, but if you finish the last cup of coffee, or do not leave enough for a full cup in the pot, MAKE ANOTHER POT OF F*ING COFFEE!!!  I am not sure why this is so difficult for my co-workers to do.  It takes two seconds.  Oh, plusalso, it is the nice, normal person thing to do.

FFF: Why is my FB feed filled with shared recipes lately?  It is FB, not Pinterest.
  • Confession:

I might just continue wearing my maternity clothes.  My Gap demi panel Sexy Boot jeans are SO comfy. and actually stay up better then they did when I was pregnant.  Even though I am down to my pre pregnancy weight, I tried on my reg jeans and they don't seem to want to go over the hips... would it be wrong of me to just buy more of the maternity jeans and screw the zippers and snaps and "keep" my reg size and not have to buy all new BIGGER jeans =/ lol.

The V next T's and tanks I got are awesome- with the rushing and the extra length. those are definitely staying in the layering rotation!!

Confession: I want another puppy. I think I am insane but I really want a chocolate lab puppy. Our Boston Terrier is still not completely housebroken, mostly because he is a jerk but I want a lab. I found a breeder and am really close to putting in a deposit. She doesn't have an available litter until spring which is fine but they are in Northeast PA on the NY border so it is a weekend trip to go to the breeder.

Vent: I am sick and tired of people telling me that there is no way they would paint the wood in my house. It if freakin' everywhere and while I am okay with some of it, I feel like l live in a cabin in the woods. I think it is the color, kinda of a tobacco stain orange. Yeah, its going. I just want it to look more farmhouse/cottage than hunting cabin. But people tell me I'm nuts and they just love it. Then you pay the mortgage.  Oh, and the white glossy walls are too much for me and everyone just loves them. My MIL almost took a header out the bedroom window last week with her comments.

Here is pictures (note this is the seller's stuff, not mine)

  • I just got back from our new student orientation...official sign that summer is over.
    >:P

Also, last night I actually got my stuff together in advance for today so that I wouldn't be rushing around....ironed the dress I needed to wear, set out my shoes, etc...

Well, I went to put on the shoes, discovered that the strap was broken. whatever, found another pair of shoes...didn't look quite as cute, but they would do.  get dressed, hug the boys, walk out the door.  I get to orientation & discover that there is a huge spot right on the front of my dress by the collar!! I know it wasn't there when I ironed it last night, OR this morning when I put it on.  obviously, it came from one of the boys...hard to tell what it was, syrup?  milk residue?  *sigh*  I had no choice but to slap my name tag awkwardly in the middle of my dress to cover up the spot.  Why do I even bother sometimes trying to make any type of beforehand preparations?

    THANK YOU!

I have come to the realization that my taste and others are not the same. Funny story, when my parents came over after we closed, my dad walked into the kitchen and said that the wallpaper was ugly and the wall color was awful. My dad doesn't say sh!t ever so it must be bad. Although the wallpaper will be staying until we renovate because she wallpapered over wallpaper.:((

  • haha, I mean, if you like the rustic look, it's fine...it's certainly not terrible by any means, just not waht I'd keep in the long-run.  And, it probably wouldn't be bad at all if it was just in one area, but I would be like you, I'd be annoyed that it's everywhere.

I agree, that is a lot of wood.  It's your house and you can do whatever you gosh darn please!

Wallpapered over wallpaper... :-q not cool...who does that??

  • Kris, I'd have a paint brush all over that!! We had some of that wood in our basement and painted it. I also got the "why would you paint that?" comments. Well, because I think it's fugly, that's why! Unless its in a cabin, I'm not down with it at all.
  • Kris, you saw our lake house. We've lived with it a while, but plan to finally get around to painting some of the wood. I'm well over the cabin in the woods feeling. I totally understand where you're coming from.
