Teachers starting new jobs!

Hi  :)   What grade are you teaching? How are you feeling? Are you ready? I am switching from 4 years of being a sped teacher in an alternative h.s. to being a 4th-5th grade resource teacher in elementary. I am happy to be staying in the same district but I really have no idea what to expect!

Re: Teachers starting new jobs!

  • I start a week from Tuesday. After teaching 9th and 10th grade math for the last 4 years, I will be teaching 7th grade math. I'm nervous (even if this is the start of my 7th year), keyed up and honestly fighting going back to school.
  • I usually do middle school and I'm doing 2nd grade.  It's crazy!  But I'm excited.  We had Meet the Teacher night the other day, and some of them were just scared little lambs - could barely even look at me.  It will be different.
  • Hi all. I am not a teacher but saw this threaf and wanted to say how amazing you all are for the work you do. Thank you!
