Monday already?

Blagh. The weekend went too fast! I feel like I didn't get anything done!
DH starts back to school today!
I watched some of the Little League World Series games on tv this weekend while at my job. I'm sad that California didn't win it all. I loved the kid with the long hair that everyone was obsessed with! haha!

Degrea - I only watched 1 Hallmark movie this weekend! It was "Smooch". It was a pretty cute one.

How was everyone's weekend?

Re: Monday already?

  • hola.  We had a weekend.  Sat we helped paint Sunday school rooms at church and then we went and got H some rock climbing gear.  It took over an hour and a half.  I was so bored! (H was using a GC and I don't have any fun money to spend so it was really boring!)

I am not ready for today.  Last week was quite rough at work and I am not sure I can handle another one like it.  Here's to another week!.

JLQ! Happy first day to H :) I didn't watch any LLWS games I usually do catch a few but not this year.  I am glad you got to watch some of them.

    Happy Monday friends.

  • Seriously! Time flies way too fast these days!!

Aggie I hope your week is better than last!!

We had an awesome time at the cottage with my family last week. It obviously went by WAY too fast and now it's back to reality for dh. Im off this week still so I have a lot of work around the house to do. I have to empty our spare room bookshelves so they can move to the basement office space. Our spare room is going to become ds' room eventually. I also should work on organising our laundry/storage room. Hopefully I get something accomplished during naps this week!
  • Morning ladies!  I've missed you :)

Work is still busy but not the chaotic mess that it has been.  I feel like I can breathe now which is a welcome relief.  I have this Thursday and Friday off which means a 5 day weekend for me.  I can't wait.  Plus our laundry room cabinets are finally being installed on Thursday which I'm super pumped for!

jlq - I hope your DH has a good first day back

Aggie - I hope this week goes better for you  ::hugs::

Echo - good luck with your house projects!

  • Hi Ladies! I am feeling the same way as the rest of you. I can't wait for this week to before so I can enjoy a long weeknd. Plus it is Labor Day Weekend which is one of my favorite weekends of the year! I am also a little bummed and annoyed. I don't want to offend anyone's religion but my BIL and SIL wanted me and H to be niece's god parents. But because they are Catholic and we are not we both can't be god parents. One god parent has to be Catholic. So H get to be godfather and I get to be nothing. So I am bummed and I think it is silly and stupid rule!

JLQ: I love that Hallmark movie! It reminds you that little kids have such imaginations. Plus I heart Kelly Martin.

E: Wohoo new cabinets!! Glad things have calmed down for you some.

Aggie: May this week be smoother than last week!

Echo: Good Luck on the projects! I have some rooms that could use an organizing if you need more! :>

We made good progress on the wall, bought a bed, and bought tickets to Florida for Christmas.  I was starting to stress about money, but Jay told me to stop acting like we're destitute.  Roger.

Then, ya know, our washing machine broke and Jay broke a pipe in the basement. :((
  • Joy: Booo! Where in FL are you going? Do you have family down there?

  • E how is your leg doing?

Joy I feel broke too. Even though we aren't.

  • Ugh Joy, when it rains it pours.  I'm sorry about the home repairs.  If it makes you feel better, DH put a nail through a pipe within hours of us taking possession of our house.  It happens to the best of us.

Aggie - the leg is doing okay but I really haven't been running all that much compared to what I had been.  I've been doing about 1 mile twice a week.  I'd run more but my endurance is shot to heck after taking about a month off.  I've regressed a lot which bums me out.  I'm trying to get back at it but its hard to find the motivation again.

  • Degrea - On the Godparent thing, it is a rather silly rule. It used to be both Godparents had to be Catholic if the child was being baptized in the Church. You can just know in your heart that you really are still a Godmother!

Echo - Glad you enjoyed your week with your family!

EEEE - I'm glad that things have settled down a little bit for you!

Joy - Boo for busted pipes and washing machines! I could not handle all those house projects. I'd be falling apart at the seams.

We feel broke, too, but probably because we are. hah.

  • Joining the broke train!! Our house has become an endless money pit! There is so much that will have to be done and so much we want to do. Dh says if this lo is a girl were moving sooner because we can't have her and ds share a room when baby #3 comes. Somedays we say we should just sell and get out before it gets worse and other days we love it and want to stay. It's hard!
  • Echo, why can't a sister and brother share a room, but a brother and a brother can? :

Jay's father owns a house down in Florida.  We're going to fly into Orlando, see some stuff, then drive over to the Gulf side for the rest of the time.

EEEE:  I'm sorry about you injury!!  Sometimes you need to just have a good break before getting back into something.  I took the summer off from running.  No thinking, no pressure, no nothing.  The motivation has come back to me!

  • My niece and nephew share a bedroom. They are 9 and 8. Granted it's a pretty big room, and it's L shaped, so one has one "part" and one has the other "part" so there is some separation, but not much really.

  • I am glad it's doing better and I am impressed you are keeping at it twice a week. It is HARD to keep up your motivation when you lose your routine. And I think you will find your endurance will return quickly once you pick up your running schedule.

As young kids I see NBD having a brother and sister share a room, but I get it when they get older. And if you think about it if you have a boy and a girl #3 will gave an sibling of the same sex so it would only be a year or maybe 2 that they would need their own room.

  • That's what I say but dh is a nut!! I even told him your scenario aggie of having a girl this time and then how #3 could share with either but he wasn't down. I think he secretly just wants to move badly.
