I've been MIA lately with summer and my two kids bored at all hours of the day, swimming, etc. Found myself knocked up (we're thrilled) and the kids in school, so between extra hours in my day and feeling "blah", I picked up my books once again and it feels great! I was just wondering what the popular books are lately around here. I am a big fan of Divergent, HG, HP, Sookie, Outlander, TTW, The Maze Runner, Nicholas Sparks (some of them if they look good), etc etc. Thanks! My name used to be Husker*Mama I believe and some of you may be my friend on fb so please no outing me being pregnant lol. Young_Love that's for you!

    Welcome back and congrats!! Me Before You by Jojo Moyes and The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay have been my favorite books this year.  They are both amazing.

    Welcome back! I remember you! Congrats on baby #3!

    I just finished A Thousand Splendid Suns and really enjoyed it.

    Some more of my recent favorites have been NOS4A2 (Joe Hill), Joyland (Stephen King), Inferno (Dan Brown), Dark Places (Gillian Flynn), and Let's Pretend This Never Happened (Jenny Lawson).

    Thanks ladies! I didn't know if you'd remember me or not! Keeping a pregnancy a secret (especially in a small town when you feel icky and you constantly think your MIL is looking at you funny) is hard! 5 more weeks.... unless I suddenly show early being my third!     If you enjoy some young adult, I think you'll love "Daughter of Smoke and Bone" by Laini Taylor and "Shadow and Bone" by Leigh Bardugo.  Both have sequels.  Laini Taylor's writing is positively excellent. I also read "Blood Red Road" by Moira Young recently, and after I recovered from the style she uses to write in dialect, I enjoyed it. 

    But if you only pick up one, "Daughter of Smoke and Bone" is a must read IMO.
