Wedding Etiquette Faux Pas

H and I just received our invitation to the wedding of MIL's BFF's daughter (SIL is the MOH)...

The wedding is October 12th.

Included in the envelope was the wedding invitation, reply card, reply card envelope (without a stamp) and this printed note:

To Family and Friends:
Due to a limited capacity and large families we had to reduce our list. So whoever is on the invitation is only invited. Also we are registered at Target and Wal-Mart, the bridal shower will be October 13th at XXX location at 2pm. Sorry for the inconvenience. D&J

I could forgive the stamp, but the note? Holy CRAP!
