Hello ladies! Anyone around? I'm locked in the bedroom with a pissed off cat while our cabinets are being installed. Hopefully you are all having a better day than me! Anyone have big, fun plans for Labor Day? DH and I are going to the first football game of the year tomorrow and then lying low the rest of the weekend. It should be nice!

    That sucks your stuck in the bedroom with a cat! No fun!
    But the football game sounds like fun!!

    We don't have terribly huge plans for the weekend. My sister is coming to visit for the weekend before she's back to work next week. Tomorrow night were having dinner with dh's brothers and their wives/gfs. We do a brothers dinner once a month which is awesome! Even though 3/4 brothers live in the same city it's hard to see each other so the 3 families get together for dinner once a month. This time though the other brother is also on town so it'll be all of us plus my sister.

    Other than that I hope to cross off some things from my to do list I didn't do this week....

    Morning! Sorry you are stuck in the bedroom. Yea new cabinets!!! We are heading to my hometown for the Labor Day Fair. There is some small rides which I won't particapate in, fair food, beer tent with a band and demo derby! I will get to see family and two friends from HS. We are also going out to dinner tomorrow with my grandparents to celebrate their 55 Anniversary! It should be an amazing weekend. One of my favorite weekends of the year.

    Echo: Sounds like a fun time! I wish I could see my sister once a month.What a great tradition.

    It really is great degrea! I'm surprised we've kept them up this long....it's getting close to 2 years since we started and we only skipped December because we see each other a tonn and finding a date didn't work. We don't let anyone leave one without planning the next.

    Good morning. H and I have the day off today. The exciting couple that we are we have spent the morning doing errands. I had my exciting plans but I had to schedule a stinking drs appt at 11 which shoots the day to pieces.

    Good luck with the cabinets e! That is exciting.

    Echo that is a great idea. Too bad all our siblings live hours away by airplane!

    Happy weekend degrea sounds like fun.


    Oh and to answer your question from yesterday e our trip is 15 days :-D

    So envious Aggie! That is sure to be an awesome down under adventure! Degrea- that sounds like a great Labor Day! I love small fairs like that and it'll be nice for you to see some old friends. Echo - that is such a neat idea for e brothers to all get together. What a great way to stay in touch! Seriously someone needs to rescue me from this darn cat. She will not stop clawing a the door and making a large fuss. I thought cats were supposed to sleep most of the day!!

    They definitely will be done today but it'll probably be at least a couple more hours. I snuck downstairs about a half hour ago and all the cabinets are installed but have no doors. The new washtub, faucet, counter, and cabinet have yet to be installed. Plus he has to rebook everything back up (washer, dryer, sink, etc.)

    Hello, ladies!
    I feel like I finally made a friend at class today! hahah! We're in the same A&P lecture class (we have lab on a different day) and we got together after class to work on our lab reports together. We're going to be study buddies.  :-B
    It was really nice. She's just a year older than me and is married, too, so it's nice to be in similar life positions. There's another girl in my class I've been chatting too, but she's 18 and just out of high school so it's different. 

    E - Sounds like it will be worth being stuck in a room with Bella! 
    Echo - I love your brothers dinners! That's such a wonderful idea! I would love to see both my sisters once a month. 
    Aggie - On my days off, I run errands or do housework, so I don't think you're boring for doing that. 
    Degrea - Have fun at the fair this weekend! Sounds like fun! 


    We might go to DH's high school's football game Friday, but other than that we have no plans.

    Aggie - she would get into everything.  The laundry room doesn't have a door so there's no way to block it off so she would definitely have gotten in the way.  Plus he kept going in and out of the garage into the house so she could have easily escaped.

    Despite what she thought, she was perfectly fine in the bedroom.  She had her food, water, litterbox, bed, and a ton of toys.  But she's stubborn and just wanted to do what she wanted.

    But he left about an hour ago so she's free at last.  I'm waiting on DH to get home to see the cabinets and then I'll post pictures :)

    Ooooh good to know, thanks!  For your help, here is a picture of Bella Bear sleeping by the door.  She tuckered herself out to the point of exhaustion (thank the Lord!)

    ETA:  Nevermind, its still not working.  Double hmph

    But thanks for the compliment on the cabinets!

    It's sooooooooooo hot in our house. I am roasting!! 
    This whole week has been super hot and humid, and as a result it's gotten really warm inside. It hasn't even been cool at night, which is normally when it cools down in here. I hope this return of summer goes away fast! I am not a fan.
