This week has seemed exceptionally long for me. Partly because the way my schedule worked out, this is only my second five day week since June. I felt every day of it too.
I can't wait til the end of the day. I'm hoping and praying for an early dismissal, but who knows if that will happen. A girl can dream?
Anyone have fun weekend plans?
We're doing a last hurrah at the lake with my parents before the school year and lots of weekend activities keep us home for most of the fall

My big exciting plan is to go buy some paint to paint the front windows before it gets too cold. The ones on the front of the house really need to be scraped and repainted. shouldn't be an especially fun task, but it will make me feel better having it done.
I wondered how many of us would be here today. I think our schedules must be pretty much on the same track as I think this is only the 2nd full 5 day week since June! DH was gone all week.... so we were up early. I do only work 7 hours today (our fridays on are always 7 hrs) and hope we might get let go early. Also think I am dreaming...... but I got here at 7 so I can go at 2. Dare I run to the new Field and Stream store to look for DHs birthday gift?
We are headed to camp for the weekend also. Gymnastics starts tomorrow then we will get on the road. Fun fun. Still can't believe we are to Labor day weekend!! Enjoy everyone.
Tonight: Jake needs new sneakers (of course he decided to tell me this on the very first day of school, sure enough, his are getting tight!) so off to the mall we go, and we'll grab dinner while we're out.
Sat: I'm running in the steelers 5k in the morning, the boys are doing the field dash right after. we have a bday party late afternoon.
Sun/Mon: no specific plans! we'll probably clean up some outside stuff (some flowers need to be cut back, weeds are out of control, mow, etc) and I need to do a big walmart trip, it's been over a month since I've done any type of real grocery shopping. Other than that, we'll just hang out! Maybe a trip to the children's museum if it's going to be rainy one day.

We've been hit with the daycare stomach bug - Conall went down yesterday with it and today Sean woke up and I've cleaned 3 bad diapers in an hour. I'm just hoping he doesn't start throwing up, too. Not bad - it only took 3 weeks in daycare before it happened. *sigh*
We're just laying low tonight - if the neighborhood pool is open tonight, I'll take the older two for a swim.
If everyone is feeling better tomorrow, we're supposed to take a drive down to Galveston to see the beach and do the Boardwalk and other touristy things for the day.
Sunday and Monday will just be pool time and maybe playing with the 4-yr old twin boys next door. The boys just got to meet them last night, and I met Mom, so it will be fun if they can all get together. (and I have to say it's fun watching them meet each other - Conall kept calling them "kid" and Gavin had no idea how to refer to them. I had to teach them to introduce themselves to gthe others - but these boys are identical - I'm not sure how to tell them apart!)

Saturday - hopefully swimming or splash park during the day, surprise 40th for my cousin at 4:00
Sunday - I think Gary is golfing so possibly heading to my parents house to spend the day and swim.
Monday- Not real sure, possibly more swimming. If it rains, maybe take the kids to see Turbo?
Oh I know - Conall seems to have it out of his system today, but if not he's definitely not going! Gavin has remained untouched, however. (Sean has the runs, but I'm not taking him, regardless!)
