  • Awesome. Truly awesome. Will the etiquette breaches never stop?

And here I was thinking the invitation we got the other day with no stamp on the return envelope was bad. You just have to go prove me wrong! Can we just write a book for all brides please!
  • @mancila60 My mom got a wedding invitation with no stamp on the return envelope last week also. Must be the new trend. She also got invited to the brides redneck bachelorette party...woohoo!

I have actually recieved 2 with no stamp in the past 2 weeks!
  • Those girls would be ripped apart on the etiquette boards.

  • I would have been ripped a new one on the etiquette board too, but, there are a lot of regional differences. Especially between Canada and the states. Unstamped reply cards aren't that bad, however, BYOB is atrocious no matter where you are!

  • BYOB at a wedding?? DUDE, if you don't want to pay for alcohol then don't have alcohol. Or do what we did...only had wine for the tables (2 whites and 1 red per table) and that was it, when it ran out it ran out...but don't tell guests to bring their own...

  • They would have killed me, we had a cash bar.  However, we paid $250 upfront for drinks for everyone.  We got $75 back. We had an early afternoon reception and most of our families don't drink.  It would have been $1500 to add the open bar package, Here we spent $125  ($50 bartender fee).

We also had a cash bar. I didn't care what anyone said, I have NEVER been to a wedding with an open bar. Open cocktail hour is what we did, then we had wine service with dinner. No one went thirsty!
That being said, BYOB is just unbelievable!!

  • Cash bar is very different than BYOB! Cash bar is normal. BYOB is not.

  • We have been to 2 dry weddings.  It was for religious reasons though.  At the one I was wishing for a BYOB or a cash bar!

Really though that is horrible etiquette and I think you should re-gift them their gift!
