Does anyone use Nasonex?

My doctor gave me a sample to try because I've pretty much exhausted at the otc pills.  Nothing works for me during this time of the year.  I was reading through the Nasonex pamphlet and there are some crazy side effects.  Adrenal insufficiency, thrush, immune system problems....If anyone is using it, how is it working for you?  Have you experienced any problems?

I can't remember if I tried that one or not. I used Flonase more though. I had pretty good success with Flonase vs pills. With pills they either didn't work or I had annoying side effects. I know I tried a few nasal spray scripts and didnt have side effect issues.

FYI pretty much everything has bad side effects as a possibility (Tylenol and Advil even). I am less concerned with a nasal spray like nasonex than a lot of the pills.

  • i have been using flonase for more than 10 years myself, but EJ uses Nasonex. I avoid reading those warning labels, they cause me to worry. Neither of us are having any side effects from using them aside from allergy relief

Yeah, some times it's better to not read the fine print.

  • I love Nasonex and have not had any side effects from it (that I know of). It's the only medication that controls my nasal allergies.

  • DD uses Flonase off and on. It also has a scary list of side effects, but all of the dr's I've consulted said it's safe!
  • My allergies are so horrible right now I decided to go ahead and try it.  Hasn't really helped yet but I read it could take up to 2 weeks so I am hoping for some relief soon.  I've been barely functioning for the last week.

  • I hear you, I started my zyrtec (along with my flonase) just last week. The ragweed is horrid lately.
  • I agree the ragweed is reag bad this year! My allergies have improved over the years but this year I am struggling! I was so desperate for a new prescription of my pataday eye drops! I couldn't wear my contacts because of such bad allergy eye issues.
