Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
I picked up a card about this over the weekend and was just looking at the website. It seems like a really cool idea.
You get matched up with a kid that lives in poverty in America with little access to books and send them one book a month for a year.
I love this because it is just something that I take for granted. My kids have shelves and shelves full of books and we read together all the time, but in some families this is not the norm at all. For a kid, having books in their home that they have ownership of could make all the difference in the world.
Go check it out. I think I'm going to sign up!

"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."
