How do you organize your closet? I just FINALLY did mine yesterday and was wondering. Do you do shirts by color...or just random? I did sleeveless to sweaters, left to right.

I loosely do sleeveless to long sleeves (sweaters are in a drawer) right to left, but they are by what I wore most recent. So the things I hang the hangers on have sections, so I do the newly washed on the right side of the section. Then I pick from the left. But it ends up being me picking from the middle and the left side is what I never wear and I really need to get rid of...

The shirts I wear a lot, are together in one section. They are a mix of short and long sleeves. The other clothes are in categories like tank tops, tshirts, short sleeve, long sleeve, hoodies, sweaters etc. I have pajamas and all my lounge around my house stuff in my dresser.

since my last closet organization I have tried to keep dresses together, shirts together, and pants and skirts together. I don't organize by color (which I tried before and it was a complete failure), or season.

Yeh, me too. And then I was super embarrassed when I went to get rid of the stuff and realized it's not even worth donating- it's that old and used. Whoops.

I have a "work" section and a "real life" section. Each section goes from sleeveless to long sleeve. There's also a dress section.

I have clothes separated by type...sweaters, sweatshirts, long sleeve, etc. But my closet has shorter racks with 2 on top and 2 below. On the higher single one, I hang my pants and dresses.

I have pants together, work stuff together, going out tops together, and then the rest of my shirts are sorted by color short sleeve to long sleeve

I'm so glad ya'll are this organized. Sometimes I feel like my closet is the only organized part of my life.

I had mine organized by color but after reading this, I switched up to by style or type and then by color. I feel much happier with this decision.

I think right now my closet IS the only organized thing- and L is working on destroying it right now!
