2. Ah the perfect day. It begins with sleeping in. Then we all get up as a family and go get some delicious diner breakfast. Then we head up to Seattle and go to some museums and the pacific science center. Have a picnic lunch at a park. Then head home. Drop DD off with my mom and DH and I go out to eat...probably at the melting pot. Then we head out to my parent's and finish the day off with board games with family and stay the night out there.
3. I think budgeting should be taught in high school. This includes balancing a check book, making and following a budget and learning about credit options and buying a car and stuff like that. I think a lot of this is learned through experience or from parents who have also struggled so mistakes are being made young.
4. I wish I had more time to be creative. To scrapbook and paint and sew.
5. My middle name is Nichol and that is where the Nichol in Ava Nichol's name came from. It is my aunt's name and it is the traditional french spelling.
6. I wear a mix of colored and white socks that are ankle socks. In the winter I wear crazy colored knee socks.

Since I am light skinned I think bright colors look good on me but I always end up with black. LOL.
2. If money was no object, what does your perfect day look like?
I'm not sure. I would like to go have breakfast with DH. Then go shopping with my mom and maybe have lunch with her, get our nails and hair done. Then go out to dinner and a movie with DH.
3. What is one thing that should be taught in schools but isn't?
Hhhmm, I am having a brain fart today. I'll agree with Wiggy, budgeting!
4. What do you wish you had more time to do?
I wish I had more time to spend with DH and with my family.

Not really. My mom did however get my name from Brigitte Bardot.
6. What kind of socks do you wear?
I wear black no show socks.
1. What color looks best on you? Blue. I like a bright royal blue.
2. If money was no object, what does your perfect day look like? Waking up and taking Oliver to the dog park with Mike. How I feel right now, it would be having a nice relaxing day at home. Ending with a nice dinner out somewhere. Maybe go to a movie or something. We never go see movies anymore. But the main reason is I can't bring myself to spend that much to see a movie. So expensive. And I just don't think they make movies like they used to anymore.
3. What is one thing that should be taught in schools but isn't? I think there should be a class on respect. I see so many kids these days that have none. For anything. It's sad really. I feel like a class starting out when kids are young and following them throughout high school would be wonderful. There are too many kids out there whose parents just don't teach that to them. They have nothing to learn from.
4. What do you wish you had more time to do? Nothing. I wish I had more time to do nothing. Days just fill up so fast and time goes by way to fast. Just want to take time to do nothing and live in the moment. Not worry about what has to be done or what I should be doing instead....
5. Were you named after anyone? Nope. My name is Kari. Was going to be named Sophia but my dad hated that name. Kari was one they agreed on.
6. What kind of socks do you wear? They have to be the kind that doesn't go up higher than my ankle and also the kind that don't stretch. I hate the feeling of taking my shoe off and the sock slides off with the shoe....so gross.

1. What color looks best on you? I honestly don't know...I'm horrible at fashion, but I do know beige totally washes me out.
2. If money was no object, what does your perfect day look like? Probably start off by eating a big breakfast on a deck overlooking the water, then spend some time at a swim up bar, followed by a picnic lunch of delicious meats and cheeses with a nice baguette. Then hit some microbreweries, hopefully somewhere where I could sit outside and have an awesome view. I feel like a bad mom for wanting to spend it without the kids but DH and I have not spent a day alone without the kids since DD was born over 2 1/2 years ago, so....
With the kids it would have to be taking them to Disney or something similar once DS is old enough to enjoy it. We took DD last fall and she absolutely loved it.
3. What is one thing that should be taught in schools but isn't? Common sense and how to be a decent human being. I feel like this is missed on some people.
4. What do you wish you had more time to do? Everything - haha.
5. Were you named after anyone? My MN is my mother's FN.
6. What kind of socks do you wear? None in the summer - just flip flops typically. White athletic ankle socks most of the rest of the time except dress socks at work. I also like wearing crazy toe socks mostly because people freak out and I find it funny.

@bobcee we live about 2 hours from Seattle.There are so many things I want to take DD to do there but it would have to be a day trip and just hasn't happened yet!

3. What is one thing that should be taught in schools but isn't? Basic life skills regarding credit and banking.
4. What do you wish you had more time to do? Be with my nieces.
5. Were you named after anyone? Nope, my mom thought Ashley was creative, and so did 3 other mom's in my kindergarten class.
6. What kind of socks do you wear? As low cut as possible.

2. If money was no object, what does your perfect day look like? If we're around here, then sleep in, and drive out to the wineries and reserve one of the private booths. Do several tasting flights and find a bottle (or 3) that we like. Play games and eat meats and cheeses. Go out to dinner at one of the amazing restaurants around here.
3. What is one thing that should be taught in schools but isn't? Independence. ::steps on soapbox:: I am sick of this helicopter mommy generation that babies their kids to no end. Kids need to learn how to succeed, and they need to learn how to fail. And they need to learn how to do with without holding mommy's hand. Yesterday was the first day of school...parents put their kids on the bus, then DROVE UP TO SCHOOL to take pictures of their kid getting OFF the bus. WTF?!?!?! And then, took the jacket from the kid so he didn't have to worry about forgetting it. We are creating a country of kids who don't know how to do anything for themselves, yet we worry about them being college ready with Common Core. It makes me sick. ::steps off of soapbox::
4. What do you wish you had more time to do? Practice singing and piano.
5. Were you named after anyone? My mother's father.
6. What kind of socks do you wear? I avoid socks like the plague. In the winter, I wear socks that don't make my feet smell.

-Probably blues and purples. It brings out the color in my eyes best. Purple brings the green out and blue brings the blue out.
2. If money was no object, what does your perfect day look like?
-It would involve DH and I driving to the beach, having a nice picnic surrounded by nothing but beautiful views, then a really fancy dinner and finally walking along the beach with fireworks going off above us. Then staying at a very fancy hotel where we could have some nice alone time.
3. What is one thing that should be taught in schools but isn't?
-Basic life skills (even though the parent should be doing this), such as basic car maintenance, cooking, cleaning, managing money, respect for others, and common sense. I was taught all of this by my parents, but unfortunately not everyone is that lucky.
4. What do you wish you had more time to do?
-Volunteer. Now that I'm off work I am too uncomfortable, and too pregnant, to do much volunteer work, but it's something I want to do more of in the near future.
5. Were you named after anyone?
-My dad got my name from a movie. My middle name is a mix between my grandmas first name and a very popular middle name on my dads side.
6. What kind of socks do you wear?
-Low ankle socks. Most of the ones I have are the $1 ones from target.
-Black or green I think

-It would be in Mexico or somewhere tropical with DH on a boat with drinks and food. Hands down.

-Finances. I went through a whole program in 5th grade about jobs, learning how to write checks and managing money. We had to earn "money" all school year. I still remember how valuable it was to me.

-Travel
