Do you read FF? If you do, do you count it to your yearly goal? What about books that started out as FF and are now published? (Answer below)

I read a few FF back when Twilight FF was all the rage, but that was it. I'm also pretty sure I didn't keep track of how many books I read or anything back then. I've only been doing that for the last couple of years.
50SoG is the only FF I know of that is now published. What other books out there started as FF? I'm totally curious now!

I did attempt it. It was terrible, I couldn't finish Now my poll answer is a lie.

Edited: I have only read published books, so that is why I would count them.

My Profile
I read a few Twilight fics back in the day. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, especially since I’m a writer and get that everyone needs an outlet. I stopped reading them when nearly every story seemed like a horny mom’s fantasy of Edward Cullen/Robert Pattinson and it just became uncomfortable for me, like having a front row seat to someone else’s wet dream.
I never counted them as the books I read for the year though. That just seems off somehow.
Most of the more popular fics I’ve either read or just heard of have become published. I have….*feelings* about that, but most of my feelings are about FSoG and how I feel like it’s pure plagiarism. I have a multi paragraph blog post on my feelings about FSoG that I’ll probably never publish…damned feelings.
My Badges:
I have not read 50SoG, but I did read City of Bones before I knew it was ff, so I guess I could have read others.
FF introduced me to writing. There were stories I wanted to read and couldn't find, so I decided to write them for myself. Others encouraged me to post them on ff.net and that's how it all started for me. It was nice to post things and get immediate feedback on them. Also, you're in a fandom with like-minded people who want to read more, more, more. I realized the more I worte, the better I got and the more I liked it. Once my third, full-length story was posted I'd already dealt with so much drama from that fandom, so many catty grown ass women and hypocritical writers. And I wasn't even a popular FF writer! Seriously, my friends read my stuff and that was about it. I had enough and pulled all my work down.
Though, at this point, it doesn't matter. Once something is on the internet, it is always on the internet. Sigh. Seriously, I just searched my last story and the fourth link on Google is a PDF on a Polish website. Whaaa?
As you can see, from that list on Goodreads, there are TONS of published fics. Honestly, most of them were wildly popular in the fandom, so that probably helped them outside of it.
And after all that, to answer the question, I stopped reading fanfic pretty much when I pulled my work.
I usually only read TMNT or Pokemon video games fanfics.
I even write them sometimes when I'm bored, but they usually don't get published.
I would never count any of it towards my book total.
I left the fandom when writers started to pull their works in order to publish them. No matter how "different" the characters were from the originals--or how well-written the stories--I couldn't stand the fact that my favorite writers were selling out.
