It's about to get real (a story in pictures)
Here's hoping that this
and this
gives us this
Basically, we are here now, officially.
CD1 showed up like clockwork today, and I had to say goodbye to the nurse I really like (I have to go to another office because I have to see the head RE because mine left). She told me to call next week for the appointment to go over options, and I asked if this meant they suggested IVF. She hesitated, so I added, "Because that's the direction we are hoping for for our own mental health." She then confirmed that would be the next step for us. I hope to get an appointment this cycle so we can get the ball rolling.
Basically I'm feeling scared, hopeful, sad, and scared. Anyone care to share what I should expect? What's an IVF cycle like? **Off to check out Resolve, too**

Pregnancy was never the end goal; being a mom was.
I've been holding out on GP: I got drunk once and started a blog: Here it is (11/7 update) 3T<3

You want triplets?
Just kidding.
The cycles are waaaaaay longer than I realized. Forget about 4 weeks cycles... they're like 7. Lupron is typically the first med, and it calms your ovaries. It makes me very hot and very angry - both are normal side effects that are a blast.
Then you start stims, which are the intimidating part because they involve mixing meds or using the "pen" instead of just a needle. But... do it once or twice, and you're golden. They weren't a big deal to me.
When you have lots of happy little follicles, the egg retrieval happens. I was awake and mine was NOT FUN. But whatever. I got to ride around in a wheelchear and drink a lot of Gatorade afterwards, so there were silver linings. EMbryo transfer was exciting. I felt emotionally pregnant.
Good luck to you!! I hope it is a success!
