Hey ladies,
I had my kidney biopsy yesterday and am recovering. Everything went really well and I should have no problems at all. I didn't post yesterday because I was in too much pain. The doctor that did the procedure refused to give me anything more than OTC tylenol and it wasn't touching the pain. They discovered that my potassium was low and was causing increased muscular pain. But, rather than making me comfortable they gave me a potassium pill and said once my levels got back to normal my pain should subside. The doctor that did the procedure never even checked on me after it was done and when the nurse tried to get some stronger meds for me he refused to give them, or see me. What a jerk! I had to call my kidney doctor after I was released from the hospital before I finally got some vicodin. Without it there is no way I would have been able to sleep last night.
I'm feeling much better today. Bending over is still really painful but I can get up and down without help or crying in pain, which is what yesterday was like. DH has been taking excellent care of me. I should have results back by next Friday. I will keep you all posted. Thank you all for keeping me in your t&p!

I can't believe what a jerk the doctor who performed the procedure was. How could you refuse to see a patient who you just operated on? I think that's unethical. I hope you get better care in the future. Rest up and get well soon!
