Good Monday Morning!

Just wanted to say good Monday Morning! Today is the first day of school at my school. It's so nice getting to know my students. I am teaching in a co-teaching setting. That means that I have another teacher who is with me all day long. She seems nice, however she is making it clear that it is HER classroom, not mine. She hasn't even shared the lesson plans with me yet! Also, when we started to go over the rules and procedures she didn't have me speak to the students at all. She did all the talking. I hope this changes. I'm going to be here until December 2. I guess that's my vent of the day. Oh and also I miss my little girl so much. I'm counting down the hours until I can see her again.

What's everyone else up to today?

That seems kind of rude. If you are co teaching, you should be co-teaching, not being her assistant.

It wasn't such a good night last night. Someone opened my windows, and left a skunk smell in. Then J and I got into a spat, plus I had to get up early for a meeting with my student's mom, which is always a joy (sarcasm)! She may or may not be a little bit demanding.

Woke up in a panic thinking I had to work this morning and I was late. Nope. I have today off. Since then I"e just been working on a paper that's due in a few days.

I'm just cuddling with Abby and watching daytime TV. I'm going to switch to netflix soon and maybe take a nap.

PS abby was diagnosed with infant reflux last week and put on zantac. She is much better now

Good morning!!! I am currently at my parent's place. I needed to make a couple phone calls for my internship this morning then I was going to drive back home. Snag in that plan. Now I'm sitting in my old childhood room awaiting a response to see who I should really be contacting.

I am too controlling to not have things organized >.< haha

Tara, did you speak with her after class? Maybe something along the lines of "I look forward to participating more in our classroom in the future. Let's go over our lesson plans". She may be the type to continue in her ways and won't offer up the plans/time in the classroom unless you say something. Maybe she was nervous and just kept talking? I'd definitely talk to her because maybe it is a misunderstanding in roles

@ImperiumWife It is so much better to know. Last Wednesday she didn't want to eat and refused her bottles. My mil thought she was teething. The on call nurse said she was too young for that and we had to take her to the er. After she was tested for a uti and it came back negative they diagnosed her with reflux. She is so much happier now!

My thought was maybe the other teach didn't want to have a co-teacher and this was being forced on her?

The issue is she is looking at me as just a substitute, even though I'm going to be in there until December. I've told her my teaching experience and that I have my master's degree. We talked a lot last week and she knows I'm very excited to be teaching. I asked her about the lesson plans and she said I don't have to worry about that and that this would be a very easy position for me. I think she was trying to say the less I do, the better. I personally think she is just very controlling.

Good Monday Night!

Sorry I'm late to the party but its one I'd like to join.

Tara- I have always stood up for myself to much. I like what Jean has said. If it were me I would act very eager and want to do more. Please let me help with that, what can I do to help you? Type of thing... Then she may feel like you are there to be part of a team not just there for the wrong reasons.

My life, well today was an extremely long day. I had a photo shoot this morning and I was the model. I airbrushed and made myself all up at 6:30. The wearability of the make up was fantastic throughout the day. Bad to day but it was the first time I have worn it. I also did my assistants hair and make up she was a gorgeous model. Piercing blue eyes! We are all our own worst critics. I have told myself for far to long how much I dislike this or that and I have no idea why.

Then went into the salon, it was busy since I will be in Portland the next
three days. DH already flew out and I am going with the kids at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow. I'm sorry I should stop now before I write a novel.

Today went better than yesterday. She had me read the reading story to them. I still feel un-welcomed but maybe I just need to get used to the way she is.
