Its time to think about fall challenge! I have been keeping a list of ideas going and the suggestions from the last couple of challenges. Any new ideas? Any changes need to be made?

Re: FBC ideas

  • October 26 is Make a Difference Day - read a book about someone who makes/has made a difference in the world.

October 31 is Increase Your Psychic Power Day - read a book with a character that's psychic.

November is National Novel Writing Month - read a book that's been published as a result of a NaNoWriMo effort: http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7896.Published_NaNoWriMo_Books

    November 10 is Forget-me-not Day - reread a favorite.

For Black Friday, read a book with a black cover.

  • I don't think any of these have been used the past two years:

    • Read a book published in October, November, or December of any year

    • Read a book that has not yet been made into a movie (or optioned), but that you would like to see on the big screen.  Post who you would cast as the main characters.

    • Read the first book on this list that you have not yet read, but is on your TBR: http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1938.What_To_Read_Next

    • Read a book--fiction or non-fiction--that relates to your career

IHO Halloween, read a book that was written by a ghost author.

Read a book based on the previous book you read (mentioned in the book, similar title, same location or time period, etc).

  • Get inspired by current events. Read a book (Fiction or Non-Fiction) that is connected to something you heard about in the news.

In honor of the 50 year anniversary of the Kennedy Assassination, read something, fiction or non fiction, about the Kennedy family, presidency, administration, etc.

I'm not sure if this has been done, but its just a thought...

Sometime in October, I believe October 12, is National Coming Out Day. In honor of this read a book with an LGBT main character.

There really are. It's specific but also vague. I actually had this idea when the new baby prince was born and I found myself wanting to read something about the British monarchy.
