WIJFR: The Eye of the World (sp)
Phew! That was intense! It's such a dense book. I had hopes of going strait into The Great Hunt, but I think I need a break.
I gave it three stars. I feel like I might have given it 4 if I hadn't have to return it to the library and it was broken up into two reading segments. I have so many thoughts on the book, though I don't think I can properly express them. I love all the characters. I can't wait to find out more about them. I want to know more about Rand and Egwene and why they are not meant for each other. I love Nynaeve and and I want Lan (I'm not sure how to spell it. I listened and a quick Google search didn't help) to stop being stubborn.
I'm curious about Moiraine. She's so mysterious. I want to know more about Perrin and his wolf speaking abilities. The only one that I've been so/so on is Matt (again, I'm not sure of the spelling). I feel betrayed by the dagger and I still don't trust him.
For those who have read the whole series, how do the rest compare?

Re: WIJFR: The Eye of the World (sp)
Man it has been soooo long since I read it the Eye of the World. We're talking 1999 is when I started this series (but tEofW itself was published first in 1990) and the last book was published this year. So yeah, kind of a big blur!
But from memory, the first and second books were my favorites. The third was good but there is one very distinctive thing different about it from all the other books in the series (not a plot point at all, but I still don't want to spoil what I am talking about unless you give me the go ahead). Then the very last book was one of my favorites. So books 4-13 varied and I can't really remember them too much overall how much I liked/disliked them.
These books just have so many characters in it and more characters get added on in basically every single book. I won't lie, it gets overwhelming. I personally recommend breaks between books, you could get burned out on them easily since they are just so long and intricate. Hard to read them back to back more than maybe two books at a time.

I would be OK with not hearing that again for awhile. Just say it's fate and get it over with, you know!
