Hello everyone!
I'm a fresh newlywed who is just trying to start off in the married community as best as I can guess how to. I've used message boards before but have been away for years, it's a little nerve-wracking getting back into it!
A little bit about me - I'm living in Ventura County in California but I'm originally from San Francisco. I came down for school and just never left! I'm a project manager in the telecom industry in Thousand Oaks, CA. My husband and I live in the home I bought about a year ago with our furry baby Oliver, who is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I'm a huge foodie - I love cooking new things and I LOVE entertaining. I am also a gigantic sports fanatic - you name it, I watch it, but hockey is my 1st love. That's actually how my husband and I met! Even our wedding was hockey themed! Besides that, I love projects, organizing, and most of all, connecting with people, which is why I'm here in the first place.
And now, a little about you...?

I'm very glad to meet you all!

Re: Hi all! :)
And as a little side note. a few years back an old coworker of mine had a wedding cake that looked like the Stanley Cup!! Her husband is a huge Devil's fan.
DH and I just celebrated our first anniversary a couple weeks ago- time has flown by! I think I've finally adjusted from leaving my home province and family behind to move to a new city with my husband. DH and I are both university students and he's also in the military. I'm studying my B.A. in history with plans to get my B. Ed. in early years education afterwards.
I'm also a big hockey fan (saw your response on the hockey post)... go Winnipeg Jets! DH is trying to teach me the rules of football so I'm less confused when we watch haha, it's one of the sports I never got into but he used to play and is a big fan. I grew up playing a lot of sports and I've always loved watching the Olympics because they inspired me.

H and I are going on our 2 year wedding anniversary in October. We've been together for almost 12 years. Have one cat and I'm still waiting on my corgi puppy. Jealous of the ladies who have such wonderful corgi fur babies! We live in Texas and I love it. Only I wish we had more of a true fall.
