This week I finished the rough draft of Book 3. I printed out Book 2 and have started on my revisions by going thru the manuscript. It's just easier to physically have it in front of me than work on my computer. I seem to catch so much more. I also received notes back from my BETA readers, so I'm using that as well. When I'm done marking up the manuscript, I'll tackle the revisions in the actual document. I'm giving myself a MONTH to get this done. This book is contracted to be turned in by the end of December. But I'm trying to deliver EARLY.

I've also been challenged to "build my online author platform." This is kind of difficult to do when you don't have a book to push yet. So, I have my website, facebook page and twitter account. I post quotes, articles about reading and writing, links to blogs I like and occasionally a few lines from my first novel. I'm gaining ground VERY slowly. You guys (ahem... @Young_Love) have any tips?

I didn't get any writing in last week at all. I am a bit down and every time I let my mind wonder into the stories I end up upset over something unrelated. I am hoping that I can start to get over that this week and get at least 5000 words written.

I've been plugging away on making notes from my CP comments. We put our house on the market this week, so I'm getting less writing time dealing with all of that. But, that's okay. I set some goals that give me some flex time for real life, so I'm feeling pretty good about things.

I finally, finally. Got somewhat of an outline done and dove in writing. First draft. Ever. I'm a bit terrified but hey? If it stinks, I can write another, right??
