  • Lol, I love that it is tied up again.

Do one mid month and one for Halloween? :)

I think we should do both!  Mainly because I just don't think Under the Dome is scary.  It's classified primarily as horror on Goodreads but I don't really agree with that, I think it's more sci-fi/thriller.  Maybe I'm just forgetting, but I would be disappointed in this as our Halloween book, even though I totally want to read it again.

  • I feel like this vote is nearly as suspenseful as either of the books. :P

  • I agree with Lauren on the classification of Under the Dome. Suspenseful and so good, but not scary to me.

  • I will try my very best to do these two books in one month!

Me too, especially since one of them is over 1,000 pages....I might do one as an audiobook and one physical book (or ebook).
  • Even NOS4A2 isn't a small book. I think it's 700ish pages.

  • I'm a pretty slow reader on a month that I have nothing going on. October will be crazy for me. I could probably manage finishing one.

  • October is nuts for me. I can only commit to one of these. I'd rather read Under the Dome because all of our other October Reads have been SK and I hate breaking tradition :)

  • I voted for NOS4A2 because I've already read UTD.  I like the idea of rereading UTD, but I'll probably never do it.  It's so big and will take me so long with how slow I read anymore, and there are so many other books I really want to read.  I rarely reread at all.  And I just requested NOS4A2 from the library, so I'm going to read it anyway.

Basically, I'll participate in the discussion either way, but I'll be relying on recollection for UTD.  I'm excited for so many people to read UTD for the first time, though!  It was so good.

  • I haven't read either one of these but DH owns both so it doesn't matter to me which one we choose lol.

  • I voted for NOS4A2 because I've already read UTD, and I know I won't re-read it for October.  I still maintain that the first time I read it was in a group-read with NBC - maybe it wasn't an official read but it seems like it was.

  • I voted for NOS4A2.  I really want to read UTD but I also have other reading commitments and doubt I'd finish UTD in time. NOS4A2 is still a big book but I have a better chance of completing it in time.

  • I voted for UTD because I'm currently reading it, but I'm really sad Pet Semetery wasn't one of the finalists :( Based on all of the discussion of it lately, it seems like a REALLY scary book. Guess I'll make it my personal Halloween read this year.
