FFC... Please talk me down
A girl on my BMB gave birth to her little girl over the weekend at 21 weeks. Ever since I read her story, I am terrified that its going to happen to me too. Every new ache or slightly different feeling is making me really anxious. I never really worried about this before, and I just really can't even start to imagine what i would do if its not all fine. I keep trying to tell myself that all our tests have come back perfectly (everything was great on our a/s too)... and she's been moving around like crazy ever since this weekend... and her HB is fine when I check with my Doppler. Can someone talk me down and tell me that everything will be fine?? Or give me some concrete facts about the things I would actually need to worry about so I don't worry about everything?? Thanks ladies!

It's normal to be nervous about this, especially before reaching viability day at 24 weeks, but remember, it is EXTREMELY rare to deliver so early (less than 5%). And of those 5%, many will have signs.
My cousin for example knew at her anatomy scan that her baby girl wasn't growing as fast as she should have been. So the fact that you have had a good anatomy scan puts you at an even lower risk of it happening.
Don't worry, you and baby are going to be okay.
Your baby is nice and wiggly and has a strong HB. Take it as her way of saying, "Don't worry about me, Mom! I'm cozy in here!"
After 12w, the risk of miscarriage drops below 10% (at least according to the info I can find). It is very rare for this to happen.
I don't know if this helped, but I'm trying!!

No matter the stats, it is a scary possibility. After my surgery, the 20something weeks were the scariest to me for this reason. Viability week made me feel better but then I would worry about something else. Just know you are doing everything you can to keep that sweet one safe and enjoy the wiggles and heartbeat. Each week is a new sigh of relief all the way through!
Eta: I should clarify that I was at an extremely increased risk for going into preterm labor due to my surgery and we were so lucky to not be faced with that during those weeks. Hopefully not having that increased risk helps ease your mind!
