Everybody's Working for the weekend...

Am I too old that everyone doesn't know that song?   Anyway, what's everyone up to for the weekend?  Ready for the cooler temps?

Re: Everybody's Working for the weekend...

  • Tonight--cleaning the house

Saterday: We have a wedding to go to.  We have a babysitter so, woohoo a night out!

Sunday: bike ride if weather and hangovers permit.

  • Tonight - Noah has a makeup soccer practice.   After we're going to Sam's and to find a birthday gift for Noah's friend.

Sat - zumba, 2 soccer games, birthday party for Noah's friend and a bonfire at my cousins in the evening.  BUSY day!

Sun - nothing.  I guess recover from Saturday.  Also, DH will do more work on our Godforsaken bathroom.  He is hoping to finish sanding/mudding and move on to paint.  After that it's just floor, vanity and toilet.  We're getting close.   And I am sooo ready!
  • I sang it when I saw the subject line. I'm an old.

Tonight - Dinner with friends, just me & G. Casey is working, of course.

Tomorrow - Cleaning, Laundry in the morning, wedding in the afternoon.

Sunday - grocery shop and try to do something fun, the weather should be beautiful.

  • Steve and my dad are heading to the lake to start ripping out the kitchen :)

I'm home with the kids. I'm taking them out early to attempt to sign up for first come/first served swim and gymnastics lessons. Then to the children's museum. I can't wait to take Michael to the Balls exhibit that just opened.

Going to my BFF's in the evening so the kids can play.

Sunday I'm taking my mom to lunch, and she's going to watch Michael while Jackson and I go to see The Lion King. I'm really excited to take him. He did great when we went to Mary Poppins last year, so I'm thinking he's really going to enjoy this show.

The Lion King is AMAZING! One of the best shows I have ever seen. Make sure to get there early, since the beginning of the show is awesome.

Tonight: TBD, maybe go grab some dinner. Nathan has been sick, so we will see how he feels today.

Saturday: My mom is going to San Francisco to see my grandma and my dad is going to Pinehurst to golf so I am going to visit their dog while my sister is at work. My dad is ridiculous about him needing human interaction.  8-| Then maybe grab some dinner with my sister.

Sunday: Painting at the old house. Yippee!

Also at some point I need to call the home warranty company about our roof and the washer but first I need to find the paperwork.

Steve and I saw it on Broadway the year it opened, but it's been such a long time, I barely remember the show :(

We have Director's Circle seats, so I'm hoping he loves being able to watch the animals go through the aisles from right above them.

  • i honestly have no idea what the weekend has in store for us. I feel worried that I may be forgetting something- and yet excited at the prospect of having no plans!
  • Lisa, we're taking the kids to see the Lion King at the end of the month!  I'm so excited, I can't wait, I think they'll love it.  I've seen it on Broadway and the last time it was in Pittsburgh.  I hope you guys have a fun time!
  • We don't really have much planned this weekend.  I have a lot that I would like to do, but I might just be lazy and not do anything because I am exhausted from this week (we're all sick with colds, DH was out of town, etc.)

Tonight: Take out, then I plan to go to bed early.

Saturday: Early morning run, we have some house stuff to do, I'd like to go apple picking or to the zoo, and our neighbor is having a bonfire that evening.

Sunday: I'm supposed to do a 5k but I might skip it, finish house stuff, maybe fit in the zoo or apple picking if we didn't get around to it on Saturday....or maybe just do nothing at all!
  • I was singing the song too!!! TGIF ladies.

I am working from home today and we are headed to Columbus to meet up with college friends. Columbus is sort of half way for everyone. Then tomorrow we are going to the Columbus zoo for the day. We haven't done this in a few years. so excited to see everyone, how much their kids have grown etc. It should be fun.

Sunday- head home in the morning and grocery store. fun fun.

    Have a great weekend all.

  • Happy Friday!

Tonight: no plans, probably play outside, do an easy dinner

Sat: Jake is having a friend over in the morning, I hope to get some closet organization/clothes sorting done in the afternoon since pretty soon we'll be needing to switch over to fall stuff!

Sun: Jake, my dad, and Brian are going to the pirates game.  My mom is coming up to hang out with me & Liam, I think she wants to check out the new Pat Catan's that opened so we'll do that then just hang out during his nap.

  • I'm so jealous of all of you Lion King people! I saw it in 2008 and had been waiting for them to come to Pgh to take Gavin. And then we moved. Lion King was his favorite movie from, like, age 3-5, and he kept asking to see it on stage! :(

Tonigght or tomorrow, I plan to bring the boys back to an indoor play place we found.

Sunday: probably mtg up with a friend from ND, whom I haven't seen in 15 yrs; he's in town for the ND/A&M game and we're finally able to connect! Should be fun.

The rest of the weekend is (hopefully) sleep, laundry, playing outside, and cleaning. Vicious cycle that never ends.

Enjoy your weekends and the nice weather!

    My three sons!

  • Tonight - I think we're just getting pizza and hanging out at home.

Tomorrow - The boys are I are spending the day with my parents while Gary is at the Pitt game. I think we are going to Mingo to ride bikes, go to the playground, etc.

Sunday- Grocery shopping, cleaning and then taking the kids to the Greentree Festival.

  • Tonight I have a Mary Kay event. I'm working on motivating myself to finish the laundry now, but a nap is so much more appealing!

Tomorrow we're heading to Millvale Days for the parade and to hang out with my friend who owns a business down there.

Sunday I have a dance team staff meeting and then we're going to the Pirate game. Last time we took Logan he was an infant and didn't do much. This time is going to be more of a challenge!!
