For my mama again. She's not getting better. She's having such a hard time breathing, even eating gets her out of breath. They have her on medicines for her heart, but it's not helping. The heart doctor changed them around earily August, and it's still not working. They tried to go to NC to see my dad's mom, but had to come home early because the thinner mountain air made it harder for her. I usually try to get her to walk around the yard when I'm there, but she has to stop every couple yards. I think I'm going to start going over and helping clean and do laundry for them. I don't know what else to do for them.
What really has me worried is her belly was really hard yesterday. And where her injection spots for insulin are bruising really bad. She had leukemia in 2005 and that was a sign of it (easily bruising). I think she's going to try and see the family doctor today.
I'm just scared and worried for her.
Re: Need some T&P again girls
Family Doctor sent her to the ER. He wants them to run bloodwork, chest xray, make sure she didn't have a heart attack, and give her something for retaining fluids. I guess her hard belly is the fuilds, she's gained 12 lbs over the weekend.
Debating on leaving work to be with her, or going in an hour when I'm done...
Her breathing won't get better until her heart does. Her heart doctor is going to see her tomorrow. They did give her paperwork on congestive heart failure. I guess I didn't put it together that that's what she has.
One funny thing is she won't go on elevators and they wouldn't let her take the stairs. So her nurse, God bless her, pushed her around the building to get to her new room. Of course that's when H and dad drive by from getting her stuff for the night. So they were blowing the horn and yelling... Always gotta make a scene!
I guess she had an appt with the heart doctor Friday. He was going to start her on the fluid pills then. They didn't start sooner because they were still tweaking her other medicines. She did see the heart doctor this morning so everything seems to be going good.
I am glad to hear that she is doing better. I hope that it keeps up.
