Are we avoiding this today?

Superstition is a term for belief that one event leads to the cause of another without any natural process linking the two events, such as astrology, religion, omens, witchcraft, etc., that contradicts natural science.

According to that definition, do you consider yourself superstitious?
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

imageThe only superstitious thing I follow is that I don't open umbrellas indoors. I don't really know why, just that my mother drilled it into me.
  • I do not consider myself to be superstitious at all.  DH has some theater-related superstitions, but that's about it.

  • Well I'm not usually superstitious, but I'm having the worst mothereffing day of all time so maybe I should be a little stitious too.

If not a little stitious, then get a little drunk.

  • I'll admit to being superstitious but I just didn't have time today to do much other than work.

  • I didn't even realize it was the 13th till half the day had past. It doesn't really phase me. I did get 13 cent shipping at Joann Fabric so I'm pretty stoked about that!

  • I'm not superstitious (or a little stitious) at all but DH totally is. Not related to Friday the 13th, but he does all these random things for superstitious reasons.

  • I am not at all. However H wont let me wash his Patriots Jersey he wears during games and when Hockey season comes it is can't wash the Bruins shirts that he wears all game day. I use febreeze against his will. Haha.
Part of me thinks he does his because he knows I will encourage him to buy a new shirt at some point throughout the season.
I had a fantastic day though so Friday the 13th will just have to try and get me next time I guess.

  • I was born on Friday the 13th and don't buy any of the hype.
Full moons on the other hand...

  • Eh. My baby's first birthday will fall on Friday the 13 in December. I did try to schedule my c-section for the 14th in a half-hearted attempt to avoid that,  but he wouldn't stay put

Now as far as full moons go...I totally believe in that craziness.
  • Not superstitious, although I think of the superstitions when I see things like a ladder or black cat, etc. The only way in which I come close is trying to wear my football shirts when the Bears okay because they seem to win!

    Or soccer.

When I used to bartend, full moon nights were always awful.  Crazy people all around!

  • I'm with everyone on the full moons. There have been so many times that a horse who is normally perfectly/calm sane go bonkers and it's almost always on a full moon.
