This. But also it annoys me that she still backs up the assumption that the only reason someone would read twilight, 50SOG, Nicholas Sparks, etc is because we want to be swept off our feet and that the girls who don't read other things. I don't agree with this either. I read Nicholas Sparks, and I loved Twilight. I haven't read 50 Shades, and doubt I will because I don't think I would like it. I don't only read Twilight and Sparks. In fact I have read most of the others she mentioned. I read things I enjoy. Period. And they'd may not all be great literary works, and they don't have to be. People watch trashy tv all the time. When I read Twilight not once was I like, man I wish was Bella. In fact, I readily admit she was needy and codependent. But I just enjoyed it. Nothing more than that. For this reason, you will never really hear me trashing 50 shades, or telling people to read "real books". Because people should read what they want and shouldn't have to feel the need to defend it.
Girl Who Reads 1: He's HAWT
