Boost of Energy- Fact or Fiction?

For the already moms, did you get the fabled boost of energy in the days before going into labor? I was talking to my mom the other day and she told me I had to call her when this happens so that she can be prepared to travel down here to meet her grandchild. Is this really a thing, or is this just another old wive's tale?

No. I got no boost of energy. The weekend before I went into labor I had a wedding, a shower and a baptism I dragged ass to. The week of I had two evening meetings and I came home and went promptly to bed. I did weed the evening before I went into labor but I hate weeds, and I was angry, so I took it out on them.

5 cats. 1 baby.
I had an induction, so I cannot relate, but my cousin did the whole nesting thing and washed her house top to bottom. She went into labor that night.
