Re: Weightloss Wednesday
I'm doing great on my low sodium diet. Since Sept started I've lost 25lbs of retained water!! (13 of that of my original 15lbs weightloss goal!!) I will say it is super hard to keep your sodium between 1500-2000mg everyday. It's pretty insane how much salt is in the American diet. Only 2lbs to go until I hit my original goal.
I have not been able to work out, hopefully soon. I'm so protein deprived I just tire out. I have a hard time doing laundry without feeling exhausted. I walked around the mall on Monday night with a friend of mine and I was too sore and exhausted to go to work yesterday. Started meds yesterday, so hopefully I'll be back to normal soon!
Been doing ok this week, being more active and eating better.
In my quest to lower my carbs, I've replaced my morning cereal/oatmeal with greek yogurt. It's helping and I'm full for a while with all the protien. Yogurt still has a good many of carbs (20some), but it's a step in the right direction. I might do hard boil eggs or green smoothies again soon. I've also added a small salad to dinner if it's a rice/pasta dish so I'm too full to eat the full serving.
@seipel12 - sodium is a sneaky devil!
I'm down another .8 pounds from last week. I am have been all kinds of LAZY about working out, I guess walking the dog everyday is helping! I'm down 37 total. I'm shooting for 40 at this point.
@seipel12 - wow, that is a huge loss!
It really is a huge difference. Being that I gained a bunch really fast and then lost a bunch more right after, I've really only lost 6lbs from what I weighed before my body went totally cray-cray. It has been such a difference that I'm getting snotty comments from coworkers about them thinking I'm starving myself. After they say crap like that I just tell them, in detail, all about my medical stuff and they shut their cakeholes really quickly. I can't really blame them for thinking that though, it came off at an unhealthy rate, but it was all water so it wasn't unhealthy. I will say I am stoked about fitting into high school clothes right now!
@willyh19 I know you have rewards. Is there one for when you hit 40lbs?
I haven't decided yet what my 40 pound reward will be. Any suggestions?Hmm, something kind of big. You're over halfway there aren't you? I would say that much deserves some new cute clothes!
@WillyH19 I can't believe you're down 37 lbs! That is great! If you don't get some new clothes, a massage could be a good 40 lbs reward
I have been so awful I can't even talk about it. I am excited to fly tomorrow though. My friend and I started taking lessons 4 years ago yesterday. We met through trapeze and she was one of my bridesmaids, and tomorrow we're taking class together for our fly-versary. I am excited to fly because that's my happy place, but I am so weak I know I won't be happy with my progress during class. I've lost a lot of my shoulder strength and most of my core strength. I need it back!
I've decided this week is a wash. I've been drinking and eating loads of junk every night. I am just trying to prepare myself for Monday morning when I get on the scale and I am at my heaviest ever. I was only a pound off this past Monday.
I've been doing pretty well with eating and getting to the gym for a cardio session EOD and then on the weekends popping in a DVD to sweat it out.
I have had to be careful with limiting calories bc I noticed my supply was starting to dip when I was pumping at work but its so hard to eat dinner with the little one. I've been trying to make finger foods but it gets hard, i just need to make sure i eat more during the day when im at work i guess.
