GTKY: Holidays

Since all the best holidays are around the corner... Let's talk about it.
Halloween- what are your plans this year? Dressing up or no?

Re: GTKY: Holidays

  • We don't have any big plans, but since we're in a townhouse this year (vs. an apartment) I'm thinking we *might* get some trick or treaters this year which would be fun :)

  • It's T's first Halloween .. as if he'll know what's going on lol .. so he has a costume and they have a little parade at school. H and I won't dress up though.

  • The best part about Halloween for me is when the daycare at work goes trick or treating to all of the offices. It's so stinkin cute! And we don't get trick or treaters at home so it's the only adorableness I get!

H & I don't usually get dressed up or go out. We're lame like that.

  • Last year H and I were so excited for Halloween we had candy ready for th kids and NO one showed up and we ended up eating the candy. So we aren't planning to do anything this year. We never dress up but this year we will also have a new addition so we will be at home recovering and resting.
  • I don't care much for Halloween.  I got lodged in a doorway dressed as a Rubik's cube as a kid and it's left me traumatized.

The only kids in our neighborhood are the rotten ones next door.  I'll be at clinical for school anyhow, so it doesn't really matter.

  • I still gotta look and see if I'm working or not. If not we will dress up but stay home and give out candy...we had 200 kids last year and the weather was crap...kinda scared for if it's good...
  • We don't get trick or treaters at my house either, since it is a country. I might make some goody bags for the one neighbors kids. Hubby and I usually don't do anything for Halloween. I always enjoyed passing out candy at my parents house, but I doubt that will happen this year. Halloween is 6 weeks from today...I am not counting, I just had to count 30 school days/6 weeks out at work today and it was Oct. 31.

  • We don't get trick or treaters either, which surprised us since there are cul d sacs behind us and kids in the neighborhood. Oh well. We don't get dressed up or anything.
  • We are another don't get any kids live in the country house. I have no clue where we will bring LM when he's here.

Where we used to live we would go in town and pass out candy with a friend, but that is now an hour away

  • I haven't really celebrated Halloween since I was in college, and even then I didn't dress up. If I was super rich I would buy those really expensive awesome costumes and throw a party.
