How do you find (or make) the time to exercise?

I know I am making excuses but I feel like I can't find the time to exercise. I work 55 hours+, have 2 kids, already wake up at 5a, blah blah blah. Excuses, I know.

What do you do to carve out the time to exercise or force yourself to make time?

Re: How do you find (or make) the time to exercise?

  • I work out at home, so I force myself to do it ASAP when I walk through the door. i take 5-10 minutes to change and drink a pre-workout drink and off I go. I also don't like long workouts.. so I try to get the most out of 30 minutes or so.
  • Another option is to do activities with your kids (depending on ages), walking to a park and playing on the jungle gym with them is as good a workout as any...
  • I do pretty short workouts. I just started Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Level 1 and the workout is only 20 mins (maybe 25 including warm up and cool down). I also have done the 10 Minute Trainer DVDs by the same guy that created P90X. After long days, I usually want to take that 10 or 25 minutes for myself and not have to worry about anyone or anything else for that short period of time.

    I love Jillian Michaels videos!
    I also like BodyRock.tv
  • Wow, that's long hours! I've booked a taxi to pick me up at the same time every week to take me swimming, then I have an hour's session and walk back from the pool. That way I know the taxi's coming so can't just think never mind, I'll go next week instead if I'm a bit tired. I don't work as many hours as you though!
  • it is really difficult to find the time as I also worked for 60hrs but I had joined the fitness program through http://fitmotion.com.au/ where I didn't get time for workout but important things regarding how to manage time along with the professional guidance under various subjects as in today's fast life guidance with fitness exercises is necessary.

  • If you think that you do not get proper time for your work out session then this is not a fair, in this world you need to manage your time according to your requirement, without this you do not survive and you do not live better life as you wish. Till last year my thinking was also like this, I ever tried to lose my weight with proper work out session but due to the shortage of time I was not able to take care about my weight and day by day I became fatty. One day my friend suggested me to join a gym and gifted me their membership because he knows my habit. From the next day I had joined the gym and concentrate on my daily workout routine, from the same day my personal trainer suggested me http://usplabsdirect.com/jack3d-af.html for increasing my work out session. After some day when I started this drink I really feel some more energy in my body.
