Adriana Trigiani has been one of my favorite authors for years. She's not well known on this board, unfortunately, but I think I've read every book of hers. I saw today that she'll be in Virginia for the filming of a movie based on her book first book from her Big Stone Gap series.     Big Stone Gap sounds familiar. I think I used to live near there, or at least pass the interstate sign. How close is BSG to Christiansburg/Roanoke?

    It's about 3 hours from there, so totally possible! I've never actually been to BSG specifically. It seems like a pretty small, rural town. I searched and it only has a population of a little more than 5,000 people total.

    That part of VA is so gorgeous. I can see why they want to film there. I'll have to keep an eye out for this!

    I've read all of her books.  I'd probably go see that (or Netflix), but when I first read it they struck a little too close to home (being an outsider in a rural VA town is a primary theme), so while I loved them they stirred up all the bad feels I had about being an outsider.
