I'm taking two college classes this semester (don't know if I've mentioned that before). They are both online, which is turning out awesome. This week one of my professors uploaded a lecture for us to listen to. It's on youtube, so I figured there would also be a movie, even if it was someone just giving the lecture. NOPE it's a power point presentation with some one lecturing over it. I checked it out last night and after 2 minutes wanted to stab myself in the eyes. So, I think I have a few options. I can put it on while I'm cooking dinner, doing laundry, etc. and have it on in the background, and do this a few times over the next couple of days, see if I can get it onto my ipod and listen to it in the car on the drive up there this weekend, or get little out of it and watch the thing on you tube. I'm afraid the last option isn't really viable due to my inability to focus on a black screen with white letters while someone drones on.

Re: Classroom Lecture
If it were me, I'd want to suffer through it only once, so I'd sit down and listen to the lecture while taking notes, but with the computer monitor off. That way, you don't have to be distracted by the poor presentation skills of the lecturer.
