TGIF!!!

What is everyone up to this weekend?

Re: TGIF!!!

  • Tonight: I'm hoping the thunderstorms hold off so that I can get my long run in tonight.  I also have to pick up a birthday gift, another exciting Friday night.

Saturday: We have a birthday party that will take up most of the day.  That night we'll probably do take out and watch a movie.

Sunday: Apple Picking or maybe the zoo.  DH is going to the Steeler game that night.  And I'm sure I'll blow off all of the housework that I have to do yet again!
  • Tonight: Cleaning and laundry, so it's done when we return on Sunday

Saturday: Heading to my parents house for the weekend to help them split wood for the winter (very little house on the prairie, I know).  Maybe hooking up with some HS friends in the evening

Sunday: Packing up the rest of our stuff that's in storage at my parents house and finally moving it home.

  • Tonight: meeting up with a friend for dinner, super excited to see her!

Sat: If the weather cooperates, we're going to go see one of Jake's friends at her soccer game in the morning.  After that, Brian is going to take Jake to an open house at a karate place to check it out and I'll take Liam home to get him down for a nap.  Then, my bestie & her family are in town for the weekend, so we're heading to visit them at her in-laws house and celebrate her son's bday.  fun!

Sun: bday party in the morning at Bounce U.  in the afternoon, I hope to tackle at least some of the kids clothing as far as packing away summer stuff that I know won't fit them next year & putting out some warmer clothes since it seems like we may be needing them soon.

  • Tonight- Depending on if Nathan goes to the old house, I may go to my parents. My mom just got back from visiting my grandma in California. Plus, we need to make some arrangements for my grandfather's celebration of life service in a couple weeks.

Saturday- Since it is going to be raining and Nathan is going hunting (first day of archery), I am going to clean and organize. My goal is to at least get rid of all of the boxes. My parents brought us some furniture and I need to figure out how to fit it in the room.

Sunday- We are thinking of going to Janowski's to get some veggies to can. I also need to go to the grocery store.

  • today I want to get a run in, and probably a trip to the gym for a little strength training.  I think we are just having take out for dinner.  I should probably go pay attention to the pool a little and make sure it didn't turn into a swamp while we wait for it to be closed.

Tomorrow, EJ has the Jr Great Race. Hopefully it isn't too wet for that, but even so it should be fun.  I would like to head out to Trax to see what kind of trees they have. I want to plant a couple smaller ones in the front yard, and get a flowering hedge type plant to replace the overgrown yews Kev ripped up over the past week.

sunday will be groceries, laundry, etc.  Oh and at some point I need to finish my exterior window painting project. We had one of the 9 panels removed so we could get the glass replaced. So I was trying to wait until it came back to finish the painting. But if they don't call today I will probably just get started without having all the windows.
  • Tonight I have a class, so the family will probably get pizza.

Tomorrow - soccer games before lunch and dinner/play date with daycare family friends in the evening

Sunday we're going on a clipper ship cruise.

In between all that I have a critical need to go to the grocery, put away clean laundry, prepare for DH to be OOT a couple days and cut out all of the fabric pieces for Heather's costume.

  • Tonight: dd's school is having a family movie night so we are headed to that.

Saturday: Zumba in the morning. Then taking dd to get flu mist. So hopefully that goes ok. We are thinking of taking her to the movies afterwards especially since the weather looks bad here.

Sunday: would like to go apple picking. Errands

  • Tonight - the usual, pizza and relaxing.  I also want to clean up a bit because my inlaws are supposed to visit tomorrow.

Saturday - drive my parents to Mercy Hospital so my dad can get an MRI (at 7am!  EEK!).  He fell down the stairs last week and tore the muscle that holds his knee cap in place.  He's having surgery next week to repair it and they need an MRI.   Both boys have soccer games and my inlaws are supposed to visit.  (I just heard we're supposed to have heavy rains, so maybe soccer will be cancelled, and they'll reschedule for next week.

Sunday - I need to get out some fall clothes/shoes for me.  And also put the fall clothes I dug out for Brody that I washed away and pack up his summer clothes to send off to donate.  Noah also needs some comfy pants - all of his from last year are serious floods and since his school has a dress code we didn't buy them when school shopping.  Basically I feel like I need Sunday to be about 48 hours long to accomplish everything that I want/need to.
  • Tonight - just hanging out at home

Tomorrow - hopefully run in the morning and then we are going to the Lion King with my SIL, niece & mom. We might grab something to eat after that.

Sunday - I have a purse/jewelry party to go so I may take the kids to my parents house while I'm there depending on what Gary is doing.

  • Today is DH's Birthday. He is working, I am going to throw together a small cake. I got a card from the boys. Depending on when he gets home and how the kids are, we might do his birthday dinner out. I am also making cakes for my mom class reunion tomorrow.

Sat: meeting my dad with the cakes. nothing else set for Sat or Sunday. but it will consist of cleaning laundry and grocery shopping because Monday its back to work for me =(

I don't expect DH to get anything done home alone with Ian for a while and he is pretty much terrified for me to leave...ugh. so I am trying to set my self up to "maintain" hahaha. I have wedding cakes and cupcakes to do next weekend Tuesday and Thursdays I have to take Adam to activities...and Ians Baptism here on the 6th... wish me luck, send a maid...;)

  • Tonight: I'm not sure. Casey is working (shocker). I hope the weather holds up. I'd like to take a walk with G and get pizza and frozen yogurt. If not, we'll just play at home. I'll probably start to wash the stuff I bought at the consignment sale after he goes to bed.

Tomorrow: Not sure. Casey will work until the wee hours of tomorrow morning - so me and G may get lost for a few hours so he can sleep late. Probably errands, dinner out or something. I think the weather is supposed to be horrible.

Sunday: Casey is working the Steelers game (lucky jerk gets to be on the sidelines and get paid) - laundry, cleaning, more single parenting...

  • My life is like groundhog day...Monday through Sunday is on a repeat loop.
For real.  I hate when people ask me, "What's new?" and I just stare at them like, "Ummmm....well, I did laundry on Saturday instead of Sunday this week.  And we ordered take out from Bravo instead of Mad Mex."

Right? And I'm starting to get a little concerned b/cI don't even have the energy to really care, lol. I'm like "Oh hey, it's Friday night - G's LAUNDRY!"

  • Another groundhog day participant here!!  And is it weird that if I have the energy to get something done on Friday night, I feel really good about myself?  Like I just had a major life achievement??  "Woo-hoo!!!  I put away 2 loads of laundry and cleaned out the car tonight, that's less stuff to do on Saturday & Sunday!!"

Yeah, I get really happy when I get a bunch done of Friday night, like vacuuming, laundry, cleaning the floors. I am starting to feel old.

  • TGIF!

It is POURING here and only 85 degrees. I guess Fall is on its way! :P

Tonight, I'm hoping to take a couple of hours and run errands. Alone. I have yet to visit the Super Target here and I'm starting to twitch.

Saturday: I'm not sure if DH has to work or not; they had safety meetings this morning and I think the rain might have cancelled jobs. So, chances are, he'll have a job tomorrow. Either way, once Sean gets his morning nap in we'll head up the road to the indoor play gym for a couple of hours, followed by back home for Sean's afternoon nap. If it's not blazing hot, the other two will ride their bikes outside and I'll catch up on my newspaper and magazines.

Sunday: Mass, outdoor time, and laundry. Woo hoo!
