Long road trip... help me pick my books!
So I have a 14 hour drive to and from New Hampshire this week for my best friend's wedding. I plan on reading/sleeping most the way but I need to know what are some good books for a road trip? I'm thinking more on the lighter side or a fast read that I won't want to put down. I'm finishing Clash of Kings right now but the Game of Thrones books are a little more of a time investment for me and I rather something I don't have to focus on so much. Any books you just absolutely loved and couldn't put down that I should be reading?
(I tend to hover towards YA but I'm open to anything)
(Audiobooks are good too!)
Re: Long road trip... help me pick my books!
The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials, and The Death Cure - James Dashner
The Selection and The Elite - Kiera Cass
Gameboard of the Gods- Richelle Mead (not YA but she is a YA author)
These are some of the books I've enjoyed recently. The Selection series is really light and easy to go in and out of I think. I really loved Gameboard of the Gods even though it's not YA.
When Justin and Mae are assigned to work together to solve a string of ritualistic murders, they soon realize that their discoveries have exposed them to terrible danger. As their investigation races forward, unknown enemies and powers greater than they can imagine are gathering in the shadows, ready to reclaim the world in which humans are merely game pieces on their board.
Richelle Mead is also the author of the Vampire Academy (YA) series. They're good too.
::butting in:: The Demon King
You MUST read this series because it's amazing. For me, the first book was a little tough to get through but by the second book- I was hooked!
