is everyone still recovering from the steelers loss?

Very quiet around here this morning!  Did everyone have a nice weekend?

Re: is everyone still recovering from the steelers loss?

  • I didn't watch the game at all.  I did notice traffic was lighter than usual this morning.  I think a lot of people called off "depressed"!

I did so much work at home this weekend that I need a weekend to recover from my weekend. I ended up with 4 bags to donate and one bag of trash - so I felt like I accomplished a lot.  All of my clothes are out, Brody's are out and washed and put away.   But, man, it was hard work!
  • Our weekend was good!  We had a party at the trolley museum in Washington, PA on Saturday (which was luckily indoors), and then hit up Soergel's fall fest on Sunday.  I got a few errands done, and unpacked the boy's fall clothes.  I am glad I accomplished something, but still feel behind on so many things!
  • we didnt watch much of the game either.  Well, I didn't.  I saw the first half hour, then we watched Breaking Bad and went to bed.  kev watched more after I went to bed I think. But, yea.  0-3... not really inspiring. though I was happy to see Heath back. And Kev tells me that breaking down the stats they played a lot better, he is such an optimist. My theory is they cannot be successful this year because the Pirates have sucked all the wins out of the city.
  • Just recovering from the weekend, dealing with big upcoming deadlines at work and in denial that I am solo parenting most of the week. 8-/

Good weekend - nice time with other families with kids if similar ages, including a Gateway Clipper Cruise on Sunday.

I am struggling with the changeover to fall clothes since out dryer is broken. I finally got caught up on summer stuff and then it was time to get out pants and jackets!

  • I am exhausted from the weekend at my parent's house.  Luckily DH got all the laundry done on Friday (he's really starting to rock this SAHD stuff!). So yesterday all I had to do was go grocery shopping and watch the game once we got back--but I still felt un-prepared when I got up this morning.

I skipped the game for Breaking Bad. Only one episode left!

I got almost all the boxes unpacked, the only ones left are books but I need to get a bookshelf. I also made a plan for my pictures, just need to find some shelves for the living room. All we need to do now is move furniture from the garage to the bedroom and a couple little things and it is livable and presentable until we paint and get new floors (which is on hold until the other house sells :( )

I do need to figure out the curtain situation. The windows are small and sit in the middle of the walls and I have no idea what to do with them. I think I figured out the purposeless room which now has my desk and I will make a "library" but the other rooms are baffling me.

Got all the laundry done before the washer started leaking all over the floor, need to call the home warranty company about that.

Although, I got a  lot done, I feel like I have soo much more to do.

  • We watched the first quarter and then went to bed, where I watched the Emmys for a bit. Rough season, I think it's going to be. I like Amanda's theory, though...

It was a quiet enough weekend here. Friday and the first half of Saturday were a wash out, so Friday night was a quiet night in and Saturday morning the kids rode bikes and played outside for the couple of hours it didn't rain. Then I took them to an indoor playplace for another couple of hours. The afternoon was movies and popcorn and relaxing.

Sunday was gorgeous, so we all played outside for the morning and then I ran some errands in the afternoon and caught up on laundry. Boring, boring, but needed!
