Has anyone had or been to a laser tag party?

take 2, the nest ate my post the first time!  I'm looking into ideas for Jake's bday party (yes...in January.  I'm a planner and there's no way I'm going to be stuck having it at my house again!)  :)  he will be turning 6 so most of the guests will be in the 5-6 years age range...good ages for laser tag?  I was looking at Wildwood Highlands specifically, they have some fairly well-priced packages for what you get with it.

Re: Has anyone had or been to a laser tag party?

  • It wasn't a specific laser tag party, but we've been to several parties at Sea Base in Greensburg and the kids can choose a train ride or laser tag.  Noah LOVES the laser tag and so do the other kids.   I would think that kind of party would go over really well, especially with 5-6 year old boys!
  • We haven't been to a party, but we went to a place in New York that had laser tag when we were visiting Steve's dad. Jackson was terrible at it, and didn't hit a thing, but he still had a great time running around with the gun.

I think they kids will love it.

  • I have taken kids there back in my camp counselor days.  I think that age group would love it but like the other poster said, they might not actually hit anything.

  • You might want to also check out Laser Storm on McKnight if you haven't already since it is super close to you.

  • Perfect age group for that!

Did you check out packages at Laser Storm, since it's so close for you? I knew the owners when they first opened (years ago - not sure if ownership is still the same), and they were super nice.

    How fun!

  • Thanks, ladies!  we might end up going with that.  My original idea was bowling, but I think he might like laser tag even more :)

I did look at Laser Storm; their price per kid is exactly the same was wildwood highlands, but with wildwood they get food as well, so it's a bit of a better deal.

  • Oh yeah - go with the better deal and the ease of them providing food!
