This broke my heart (Outlander related) (ns)
I'm friends with my mom's cousin on GR. She read Outlander and this was her review...after giving it 1 star:
"Worst book I ever read and that includes the macroeconomics book I read in college. I know a lot of my friends loved this book but I thought Diana Gabaldon described EVERYTHING ad nauseam and the ending was predictable."
I commented that her review made my heart hurt.

I am no huge Outlander fan. (I gave it 3 1/2 stars), but worst book ever?!?! I don't disagree that sometimes a little too much detail, but still. Worst book ever????
She clearly has not read enough books.

I'm ridiculously protective of Outlander. When my mom was complaining about how much detail is given over the littlest thing, I was all SHE'S JUST BEING THOROUGH! My mom ended up loving the books.

Master of the Game by Sidney Sheldon got 4 stars.
A lot of James Patterson rated between a 3 and a 4.
Gone Girl got 5 stars.
50SoG got 2 stars.
50SD got 3 stars.
50SF got 4 stars.
Water for Elephants got 5 stars.
Bossypants got 4 stars.
That's basically everything she has rated. She's got a lot of biographies, a lot of Sidney Sheldon, and a lot of James Patterson. Nothing in line of Epic. So I guess her review makes sense for what she reads. Average book length around 400-450.
It still makes me cry.
