New to quilting: needing tips/resources
I've been wanting to start quilting (perhaps a holiday quilt as my first project?) and needing some good online/book resources to get me started. Any thoughts/tips from experienced quilters out there?
Re: New to quilting: needing tips/resources
Pick a pattern with square or rectangle shapes. Curves and templates are a bit more challenging.
Check the local library for quilting books.
Love your iron. Nicely pressed pieces make better looking quilts.
And I agree about getting a book or two from your library. I usually read reviews on amazon or Goodreads first, and then request the best-reviewed ones from the library.
Don't get too hung up on perfect with your first one. I used the first one to learn the process more than anything, so that I could do the details better down the road.
