  • The cats would murder me if I tried to dress them up. Either that, or flop over like lumps and look pathetic and miserable all night.

Zoey's Boxer chest makes it hard to find things that fit her properly, and most dog costumes are just stupid to me. If I found something really good, though, I'd absolutely dress her up!

  • beyond J's orange and black claw caps around halloween-time, no.
  • I don't normally dress them up but one year when we had kittens we bought them these cute Christmas sweaters that were on sale. The male kitten was obsessed and wanted to wear his sweater all the time. Sadly, he outgrew it. I suppose we could get him a bigger sweater but I don't know if he would like it as much now.

Our dog has a sweater that he loves to wear! DH's grandma actually bought it for him. J am going to have to go dig that out.

  • Hey Ladies -- I felt like jumping in today, hope you don't mind! :-)

I have a cat and I dressed him up one time with a little superman cape and it was hilarious... He loves to jump from the dresser to the bed, then the bed to the chair.. and each time he jumped he looked like a flying cat with his cape on. I only put it on him for about 10 minutes, he was a trooper. But other than that, I know he doesn't like clothing very much so I never put anything on him.

  • I dress my dog up for Halloween! I'll post pictures later because I don't have them here at work. But I also dress him for football (he has both a Jets and Giants jersey). He also has a couple shirts at Christmas, a birthday bandana, a Hawaiian shirt... lol. He's not dressed up all the time like it sounds, but he loves when we put shirts on him!

  • @sparklingdiamond - so cute!! I love the ghost :)

@iwalktheline - is that santa and his reindeer? I love it!

@seahorse01 - You win at life. So much.

I once made a shirt out of the stretchy part of a tall sock to put on my cat. Have you ever heard of thunder shirts? Well, that was the goal. DIY thunder shirt. The pressure is supposed to calm them down. Sadly, it did not work, and she just did the paralyzed cat bit while we died laughing that we had put our cat in a sock.

I'll have to find some real outfits to put them in for Halloween this year!

  • DH always calls our 100lb lab a moose.  One year I found a costume that you put over their head and it looks like a moose mount and antlers w/ their head.  I bought it because of the nickname.  Yeah, he wouldn't leave it on for 1/2 a second before pawing it right off.  So I voted no for the costumes.  It was a total fail.

We have a lab/shepherd mix and he makes these ridiculous noises when we rub his belly. We call them moose noises or say that he is "moosing around." I have thought about looking for antlers for him many times but figured the same thing would happen with him pawing it off.

FTR, I have no idea what kind of noises moose actually make.

Ah, good to know @nfp147! And that's perfect, b/c my dog's noises are kind of cow-like.
