just a happy girl..

I know a lot of these post are for looking for advice and it is amazing that we can all come together and support each other! But I would love to hear romatic sweet stories that are about you and your other half! I am such a hopeless romantic and I love hearing stories of people in love or falling in love.. Just last night I had a moment with my SO. I had surgery on the 28th of August and it is the most embrassing surgery I could ever imagine.. I suffer from polinidal disease so if anyone knows anything about the upper booty crack tailbone area it is so beyond painful.. welll finally after years of dealing with cysts, 1 surgery to correct it (relapsed ) and now this surgery to finally take out all the cysts and tracks leading to the polinidal sinus I think I am finally free.. and have not been in crazy pain.. so for the past month my SO had to pack my wound... stick gauze in the wound and help me pull it out.. i would be screaming in pain and he would always just calm me down. He honestly was the best man nurse I would have ever imagined.. I am so thankful. We havent been intimate since before that (i was on my period and we were also away seperately for a weekend)we are usually very active so this is has been beyond torture because I have had no sex drive since my surgery until this past weekend/ week.. I have tried to tell him I feel so much better and I am ready to go but he is so scared that if something happens during sex we would be right back to where we were..He always says it will be worth the wait and that its okay we wait until I am fully cleared and okay with the doctor to start having sex. He is so patient and kind about it.  He expresses to me how its not fun for him either to not be intimate with me and I turned to him and asked him if he still found me attractive even after having to pack an open wound basically on my butt everyday twice a day.. and he just looks at me kisses me and says you will always be my curvy beautiful girl.. I wanted to cry lol but bascically we just had such a romatic night without even doing anything.. he never once forced me to go down on him even when i told him i would or even offered he always just tells me he would rather wait till we both can be together and not one have all the fun etc.. we honestly just sat up talking all night (getting up for work was HORRIBLE lol ) and it was just a nice night we recently moved in together about 4 months ago and its been a roller coaster in a good way but he loves his video games and talking to his friends and a lot of my friends are always busy and plus we did move 5 hours from home in NY so I dont have many friends down here and his are always on the phone with him... i dont mind because I love them to death and they are always so amazing to me so i am thankful he has awesome friends.. but its just the video games sometimes I want to kill him!! lol I have realized that if I play with him a little he will listen to everything I have to say haha its terrible but true! but anyway.. I'd love to hear any stories or even advice about living together and just sweet things! :)

Re: just a happy girl..

  • OW!

I once fell on my tailbone when I was cross country skiing (asphalt under the snow and there was only about 6" of it to start with) and the pain was horrible.

That was 15 years ago and I still get funky residual pain when I am under stress.

I can only imagine what pain from tailbone surgery is like.

    Wishing you the best.
  • thank you! I really apperciate it! and yes that is so painful!!! it never gets better! :(
  • Have you looked into alternative medicine?

    Yoga, acupuncture and meditation?

There is a guy I know who has Crohn's --- he swears by acupuncture and has not had a flare up in years.

It couldn't hurt to look into any or all 3 of the suggestions.  I don't think you can go wrong with meditation.
  • I had the same surgery last year.  My DH had to do the same for 7 months until the incision finally closed up.  It's horribly painful and completely disgusting to look at but luckily he was immune after watching my kid rip my crotch in half and seeing the placenta shoot across the delivery table like a jellyfish.
