SBR: Help me name a puppy
We are on our way to pick up a puppy. We have to decide between the 2 below ( although I want them both). We want something for a hunting dog but I also want something literary. They are both boys, btw. Scout is a strong contender even though TKAM's Scout was a girl. I also like Finch but DH vetoed that. So I would love to see what NBC comes with. Let's hear them, ladies.
Well crap. Stupid iPhone. I can't get the pics to copy. They are the German Shorthaired Pointer/ Hound mixes that I posted about the other day.
Re: SBR: Help me name a puppy
Our GSP/hound mix is a girl named Scout, but I think it is a good name for a male dog too!
ETA: I totally let H think he came up with the name, but as soon as I saw her, I thought of Scout from TKAM. Have fun with the new pup, post pics when you bring him home!
My Badges:
When I hear Scout, I think of Steve's dog/bar from Sex and the City.
Scout is much better.
my read shelf:
Gatsby
Pilot
Gladstone or Sherlock
Oliver
Ernest or Hemmingway
Our dogs will all be named for guns. Remy for Remington, and eventually Winnie for winchester (or you could do chester), nellie for Binelli and brownie for browning.
Old Yeller (Old Yeller)
Fang (Harry Potter, Hagrid's dog)
Ghost (Game of Thrones)
We decided on Scout. It was the only one we could agree on. I liked Snape too. Scout seems to fit him though. The only thing is that when we say "Good boy, Scout" it sometimes sounds like "Good Boy Scout!". lol
He is such a good boy! He has learned how to sit already and comes when called about 75% of the time. Still working on that one. We just adore him already. Don't you just love those hound dog eyes?! They melt my heart!
