need opinions
So I've received a last minute invite to my cousin's baby's christening. I don't really have time to get anything personalized by a professional, so I made this:
I'm planning to frame it and maybe pick up a book to go with it. Do you think it's okay? I have no clue what his nursery looks like, but Mom & Dad are Patriots & Red Sox fans so I went with those colors.

I think its cute, and they can't really expect you to match their nursery if you weren't invited until the last minute! Personally I love the idea of having something that family made/put together over having something that's done professionally for baby stuff...if you look at the box of stuff that's still around from when I was a baby its almost all the homemade stuff given by people because that's the stuff with memories.
EDT to add: What if you gave them that and a free photo session (maybe make up a gift certificate). I know you do great photography and who doesn't want professional pictures of their baby within the first year!

I love it! And I love this idea too. We received a newborn photography session at my baby shower and it was the best gift we received that day.
Aw thanks! But part of the reason I don't know what the nursery looks like is that they live 3 hours away, so I'd be afraid to offer my photography. However! I know she had some newborn photos taken so I'll see if I can get her a GC with those photographers! Thanks for the idea!!
