  What is the $400 for exactly? Just 1 time or maintenaince? I have somebody come out for bees and they have a special throughout the summer. They come once in may, July and September. And I can call anytime if we want them to take care of any bee issue during that period. It is close to $400 I think.
  
  I don't know about adding in other types although I know in May they sprayed for spiders even though we didnt request that.
  
  I live in a different (but comparable COL area) area or I would give you their info.

  I believe it is one time which is why I thought it was pretty high. He is saying he has to spray the entire roof, all the vents, window, shrubs plus the garage. If I was getting multiple visits, I would be okay with that. I didn't meet with him, DH did.

  We used Witt Pest Control for maintenance and they were good. I think it was $37/month? They'd come out 3 times a year to spray the exterior/check termite stations to make sure there was no activity. We also had them out when we had a mouse and they came several times (at no extra cost) til Mickey was gone.

  for $400, I would live with the insects. Or spend the money on caulk, weather stripping, and expandable foam insulation to fill cracks the bugs are entering the house through. Which reminds me I need a new door sweep to help keep those big spiders from invading come the colder weather. uck.
  
  ETA- we only ever had termite treatment once and the seller of the old house had to pay for it. So I have no idea what the ccost was.

  Haha I hate paying the cost! But the biggest issue for us are the bees/wasps/yellow jackets. We did try to seal up after the first year yellow jackets made a nest in our house but then they still found a way in. Although since then its been fine inside. I have them spray more for outside issues. While it doesn't completely get rid of them it is much better. Before we sprayed I felt like I couldn't ever be outside because they were everywhere!
  
  But $400 seems like a lot for 1 time thing and no maintence. I would check to see if they have a maintence type plan.

  Well, the old owner did tell us that she had to have the house treated since there is an issue with the bees that bore into the wood. She had the house treated right before we closed in July.

  
  

  Nathan sprayed all of the doors and windows last night, so we shall see. Another issue is that the windows in the house are horrid and allow for insects to invade.
