Pregnancy Must-Haves

Since there are so many new ladies, I thought it might be good to share what items have helped us later pregnancy/new moms get through the past 9 months.

For me, it's a yoga ball. It has made all the difference with getting through the contractions I've had recently. It also really helps take the pressure off my hips just sitting on it. I highly recommend getting one.

Anyone else have recommendations?

  • Good idea - thanks for starting this!

I've really come to rely on my Snoogle.  At first, I didn't really think I needed it, but it has helped immensely now that I am getting pretty big!

  • OMG yes to the Tums! I've gone through a whole bottle this past month. LO has a fascination with stretching her feet into my stomach. ;)

  • For late pregnancy: ice cream to deal with the heartburn ;) Also, I think that staying pretty active until the end made my labor a lot easier.

For after baby arrives: Tucks pads -- not for hemis but for general swollenness and soreness

I love mine. I slept with it until probably 5-6 months pp. And now it's back.

  • Ice. OMG I was so hot at the end of pregnancy.

And staying active. I was weeding the night before I went into labor and I seriously think staying active kept me healthy and helped me labor.

  • Flip flops- so much easier than asking your husband for help and then listening to how swollen your feet are

Boppy body pillow- it doesn't bitch about being kicked all night

Pepcid every morning and tums throughout the day, especially when you can't find wings hot enough and are putting chili powder in your veggie beer soup. Ok didn't really use chili powder but my husband swore I did.

Chapstick. My lips got extra dry last winter.

Weekly chiro visits all of third tri. Sometimes a few extras.
