Wacky Wednesday! I almost forgot!

1) Do you have any bad habits? What are they?
2) Do you plan to change the above bad habit?
3) Have any good habits you're proud of? What are they?

Re: Wacky Wednesday! I almost forgot!

  • 1) Forgetting things. As evidenced by my posts today.
    2) Not really. I make an attempt to remember by entering things into my calendar, or setting reminders, but I always find new and inventive ways to forget things.
    3) Hmmmm...I always clean and dry and put away dishes as I use them. Even pots and pans. I clean them as I cook. I can't stand dirty dishes.

  • 1) Bad habits: I will often just toss everything in my hands on the nearest piece of furniture as I walk into the house. If we have any one coming over that is the first pile I have to clean up. I also toss way too much stuff into my purse. Every two weeks I have to go though it and wonder why I hold onto so much junk I just toss later.

    2) I have been trying to take my stuff to their proper places. It works sometimes. For my purse I have stopped taking it into work  that seems to help a bit.

    3) I am proud that my husband and I are always recycling.

  • 1) Do you have any bad habits? Oh hell, yes.  What are they?  To many to list
    2) Do you plan to change the above bad habit?  Not especially.
    3) Have any good habits you're proud of? Actually, yes.  What are they? I work out every morning.  I get up every morning at 4:30 even those mornings when my body is telling me to go back to bed.

  • 1) Do you have any bad habits? What are they? Yes, but there are too many to list
    2) Do you plan to change the above bad habit?  Some of them I try to stop, like not putting away the laundry. I try to set aside a evening to get it all done every week.
    3) Have any good habits you're proud of? What are they? Yes, I am really diligent when I set my mind to it. Work, housework, anything- I start it and I want to finish it. I like to keep the interior of my car really clean.

  • 1) Do you have any bad habits? What are they?  I'm a little fidgity I guess. Case in point, I'm currently pulling apart a dry whiteout pen thing and peeling the whiteout material from the plastic backing. I'm a little bored and anxious at the moment.
    2) Do you plan to change the above bad habit? Not really
    3) Have any good habits you're proud of? What are they? I'm pretty organized. I have my own system and while my desk may look messy, I know what my piles are and where I can find things pretty easily.
Whether or not you find your own way, you're bound to find some way. If you happen to find my way, please return it, as it was lost years ago. I imagine by now it's quite rusty.”

  • 1) Do you have any bad habits? What are they? I bite my nails.

    2) Do you plan to change the above bad habit? I've tried really hard. I'm currently not trying, but I have tried, and will try again at some point I'm sure.

    3) Have any good habits you're proud of? What are they?  Hmmm. I try to keep a fairly clutter free house. I also am very organized. Like PP said, it may look like a hot mess, but I know where my stuff is. (So please don't try organize me, boss and/or DH. I am organized. I promise.)

  • Bad habits: I bite my nails and often leave everything on the first surface I see when I come in the house.

Am I going to change it: I've tried a couple times - maybe I will.

Good habits: We recycle and I try to eat my daily allotment of fruit

  • 1) Do you have any bad habits? What are they?
-so many!  I have the bad habit of speaking before thinking.  I'm a little too quick to have a comment or jump to conclusions.
    2) Do you plan to change the above bad habit?
-I'm trying, but not very successfully.
    3) Have any good habits you're proud of? What are they?
-I quit smoking years ago.  I also take my dog for a walk every day (although not if it is raining).

  • 1 - Definitely. I have a high tolerance for clutter, so my apartment is often messy. I tend to think before I speak. I overanalyze and overthink everything. I am a compulsive eater and shopper. I spend way too much time playing with my iPhone and on the internet.

2 - I have been on a voyage of self-discovery for a couple of years now and am working on some of those things, with varying degrees of success.

3 - I am proud of my exercise habits! I work out at least four days per week most weeks, and I am in a good cycle of doing both cardio and strength training. And I recently started going to a new yoga studio. I also am proud that I have stuck with going to therapy and continuing to work on myself because that shit is HARD.

  • 1) Do you have any bad habits? What are they? Eating. More specifically, grazing between meals and totally negating all of the good things I've put into my body during well planned and healthy meals.
    2) Do you plan to change the above bad habit? It's a never ending battle
    3) Have any good habits you're proud of? What are they? I'm pretty habitual with my exercise.

  • 1- Absolutely.  And entirely too many to list here.

2- I'm trying to do better with the laundry - I tend to let the dry clothes sit in the dryer forever.  Now that school has started again, this means that So's uniform shirts (wrinkle-free button-downs) are all wrinkled and need ironing.  And I HATE ironing.

3- I am really good at keeping track of things.  I hate being late and am trying really hard to install a sense of time in my kids.  I hate being kept waiting - my husband's family is habitually 30 minutes to an hour late for everything and it makes me so very angry.

  • Lots of bad habits. Messy, forgetful, junkfood-aholic, packrat to name a few.
I make lists for the forgetfulness. I try hard to eat well. Packrat is never going to change. lol.
My good habits are I am good with routines. Once in a routine I tend to stick with it.
  • Bad Habit: Interrupting people when they are talking

Trying to work on it always: Always! I'm constantly thinking to myself "shut up and listen, shut up!" but I forget....frequently and often

Good Habits: Once Laundry comes out of the dryer it gets folded and put away. I can handle piles of dirty laundry but if its clean it needs to go away (unlike my husband who leaves piles of his clean clothes laying around!)
  • 1) Do you have any bad habits? What are they?  I'm impatient with slow people, especially on the roads.
    2) Do you plan to change the above bad habit? Not really.  It's not in my nature to tolerate inefficiency.  I do try to mentally tell myself to chill out when I'm not in any hurry, though.
    3) Have any good habits you're proud of? What are they?  I'm efficient in the way I do things.  It does feed into my bad habit, though.  ;-)  I'm also getting into a good cardio routine almost every night.

  • 1) Do you have any bad habits? What are they? Oh yes. Lots. Specifically, I can be a slob if I'm not careful, I procrastinate on school work, pick off my nail polish, I set an awesome work out plan for the week and don't follow through, I buy random groceries without meal planning and then have no idea what to make ever, etc.

    2) Do you plan to change the above bad habit? Of course. Will I? Probably not.

    3) Have any good habits you're proud of? What are they? I may be a slob, but I'm also really organized. It takes no time to put everything away because everything has a place. I can whip together an event/etc. in no time.

  • 1) Do you have any bad habits? Tons.  What are they? I am very forgetful. The inside of my car is always a mess. While I consider myself academically smart, I sometimes lack good ole common sense. Friends and family agree with this.
    2) Do you plan to change the above bad habit? Not really. I sometimes get motivated to keep my car clean and am a total Nazi about it for while and then it goes by the wayside.
    3) Have any good habits you're proud of? Sure. What are they?  I keep a pretty clean house and can't stand clutter, if I can help it (except for my car for some reason). We eat pretty healthily and are good about not eating out too often. I am conservative with money, but not ridiculous about it. I am very good about making sure that I am not on my phone or computer when at home with my son.
