Hello, October

What's going on this month, ladies?  What are we looking forward to?  What are we dreading?

Re: Hello, October

  • That's a great question! I'm looking forward to bens trip to Oregon at the end of the month so I can sleep for 10 days straight and not feel bad about it!
  • October is a good month for us. We have our 3 year anniversary and A's birthday. We decided not to have a birthday party for A this year, instead S took a week off from work and we will do her favorite activities all week. Were planing on taking her to the Please Touch Museum, the beach, Pump It Up, apple picking and other stuff that I dont remember right now. Figured it will be a nice memory instead of more toys that she already has plenty of.

I'm just looking forward and enjoying the cooler weather. There really isnt much I'm not looking forward to.

  • I am looking forward to my friend's wedding this weekend!  H and I are going to try to work in some fun day trips this month, too.  Hopefully Hersheypark will be one of them!  And we might be heading back down to VA Beach for H's friend's 30th birthday party.

So, with that said, I am sort of dreading not having any relaxing weekends!
  • Looking forward to A's birthday tomorrow! Giving him a early dismissal from school, and going to lunch, maybe the mall. The rest if the month is somewhat in the air. Only Halloween is on the calendar so far.

Dreading- not much. Cold weather, that's about it.

  • Looking forward to:  finally having my "September" baby :)  and our 2nd wedding anniversary

Dreading:  nothing...except maybe being a little nervous of the postpartum period and wondering if my hormones (which are normally very even keel and in check) will go out of control.  I've been watching what others in my BM group are going through and it scares the heck out of me!

This is what we do with Chase now.
  • Looking forward to - Going to Colemans to get pumpkins and corn stalks, pumpkin pie, homemade soup, football, my cousins baby shower, crabbing, bonfires

Dreading - DH going to AC at the end of the month to see Phish, and I dont get to go this time. :( Thursday nights show is Halloween, and Saturday is DS's last football game in OC, MD so there is no time for me to get to AC in time for any of the three shows. It wouldnt make sense for me to drive all the way out there for 1 night.

DS is going with his uncle that Saturday night so anyone want to do dinner on November 2nd?

I'm open to do dinner that night. Anyone else?

PS I love Coleman's. We went there a few weekends ago because they sell Woodside ice cream in the summer.
