  • We started with Tommee Tippee but within a couple weeks he refused them. We switched to Nuk because those are/were the only pacis he would take but he recently began fighting those and now we use playtex drop in nursers. Honestly, some babies will take whatever but it seems a lot of them can be a bit choosy on what bottles they'll use.

Congrats to my GP Sister from another mister Bruinsbabe!!
  • Early on we had to use Dr Brown bottles with preemie nipples because E had trouble keeping up with the flow of stage 1. After we got the hang of BF he rejected all bottles from then on.

  • We use TT but Alex isn't picky.  We used a medela nipple initially that came with the pump kit.  He had no problems with it either.

  • The new similac bottle is great. We were sent a sample and liked them so much we went and bought about 6. It has a little deal in there that will help 'mix' the formula. It's just great.

  • We mainly used Breastflow bottles. He wasn't picky at all. I hate medela bottles because the nipple collapses easily. I learned that Dr. Brown's fit onto the medela pump which is handy.

  • We use medela, avent and dr brown and B takes from each equally well. I think it just comes down to individual preference by your baby.

  • so far we have only used Tommy Tippee. I did buy (and sanitize) about 4 different brands in case he didn't want to take the TT. So far I haven't had to use them.

  • We used Playtex for the drop ins! Not having to wash bottles for the win :) haha Ava Nichol wouldn't take any other kind of bottle after that either.

  • We found that the playtex ventaire worked the best for DS. I will probably use them with 2.0, but I plan to try bfing again.

  • We started with Tommee Tippee but switched to Dr. Brown's due to gas issues.

  • We use TT. I would recommend buying singles of a few brands and seeing what baby likes before washing sets.

  • I just wanted to add that some babies have a strong preference for one brand over another but I would probably start by buying only a few of one brand and start with a type that has fewer parts or is easier to clean and then switch brands if necessary.

  • B isn't picky AT ALL.  We have Dr. Brown's, medela, avent, random dollar store bottles (that I had to pick up when I needed an extra one while we were out).  He doesn't have a preference

  • Little girl would not take bottles at first. I went through every bottle, besides Dr. Brown, and we found success with Breastflow bottles but I don't think they make them anymore. Then we tried Playtex dropins and she likes those. Dr. Browns was/is very popular with several moms I know.

  • We got Dr. Brown's because they were recommended. We were also told they most closely resemble breastfeeding because the baby has to actively suck on the nipple to extract the milk, chomping down on it won't do anything like it supposedly will with other bottles. The extra parts are kind of a pain to clean, but it's all we've ever used so we don't notice.

  • I bought all TT but only opened a single when we introduced a bottle. Once he took it a couple of times in a row, I opened the rest.

This is us exactly. We mostly use the Medela nipple since it fits on the storage bottles I use.

  • Lily didn't really care, she'd drink from anything. We liked Tommee Tippee and Dr. Brown's, but also got a couple Nuk bottles and some Similac ones. They all worked great for us.
