Justified or no? Clearly lying to her took the choice of her hands.  However, if it were you, would you eventually forgive him knowing that he's relieved you (with conditions) from a likely fatal disorder?

    You guys need to read the second book.

    In the first book, I was really annoyed for her but I got over it because he was hot and exciting and because the alternative was death.

    I understand why she felt that way, but she could have also asked the others about it before trying. It didn't sound like he'd forbidden them to talk to her.  

    If it were me, I would have forgiven him. The alternative wouldn't be a path I would want to take. I think living with that sort of disability would be very difficult.

    I don't know if I would have been too happy with him, but I might have forgiven him for curing my craziness.    Also, if I had been trapped in one building for that long, I would have done just about anything to get out of it!  I can't stand being trapped in one building for more than two days--even my own house.  I just have to be able to go outside.

    I wasn't too mad at Packard for not telling her everything from the beginning. I don't think I would have liked making that choice for myself.
